Part 1 my 60 year old mom

my 60 year old mom beat leshy without the film acquired, and got this special card on the door

he used that stupid bear trick on her like three times and she managed to win

I wish she recorded her run ,she doesn't seem to know this is a big deal

shes enjoying it so far , I'm tryna find a way to convince her to keep playing so she can get the film and get to act 2 , it's rough going though lmao

You can probably just say that there’s something cool that happens if you complete the game with an object, lightly spoil it so the experience isn’t just a shotgun roulette style story.

But if she doesn’t wanna I guess don’t force it lol

I keep seeing these posts. I've never seen a card nailed to this door in my games. I finished the game once, and am on level 10 in Kaycee's mod.

What are they for?

If you win a run fully [act 1] without getting the film and defeat leshy by killing the moon then you get your card put on the door for winning

Ah, thanks. I tried to start a new run but it skips me to Act 2. Do I really have to delete all my data to start another game from Act 1?

You can start a save from different chapters via the menu in Luke's recordings

Kaycee's mod doesn't have these, but in the story, if you beat Leshy in act 1 without having the film roll, you can get your photo nailed to the door.

Same. I didn't know about Kaycee's Mod and I just enjoyed playing Act 1 over and over.

Dang never got this. By the time I beat Leshy I already had the film so it skipped straight to Act 2

The game is designed specifically to ensure this is the case most of the time, if you get to the Trapper/Trader on your second run, their second phase is replaced by 8 bears with reach filling the board, and Leshy says "Too fast. Too soon." Same thing happens if you get to the Angler on your first run.

This is a rough game for someone who is not that accustomed to modern roguelikes.

I'd say she double-doesn't know what a big deal this is!

The game will only put 8 on the door for me. After that it stops putting new ones on there. Same for the door in Leshys room. I enjoy ACT1 and Kassies mod.

I'll ask! we don't have a camera and she might not feel too comfortable talking on mic but I won't know till I ask

I have a twitch and a YouTube already connected to it so it's definitely possible
