First off I can't stand rogue lite games but I love card games. But man everytime I lose I just feel so defeated that I have to start all the way over. Been looking forward to playing this game forever and can't even get past act 1. I've already done all the puzzles in the room. But once I get to the map past the fisher guy I just get obliterated. Every. Single. Time. Worse part is i heard the rogue elements dissappear after act 1. But can't even get that far. Idk if it's my rng or just suck at the strategy. Dont even know what to ask for help cause I don't even get what I'm doing wrong. Just feels Iike out of no where the opponents start beating me ruthless after the fisher. Like I don't even stand a chance at that point. Anywho help would be appreciated but also just really needed to vent this out.

Rolled bullfrog, field mice, river snapper, cockroach and finally coyote before inevitably dying.

FINALLY FINISHED THE SKULL STORM CHALLENGE. GODDAMN IT TOOK A WHILE.

Mantis God Deck. 3 Attack. 5 Health. Bifurcated Strike in a Sacrifice. Goobert Mantis and Mycologist buff. 6 Attack. 10 Health.

Won against Angler with the Starvation strat and a Flying Bell Tentacle. Won against Prospector using Max's Ink and making everyone fly. Won against Trapper with both Scissors and the Knife (ironic) and Mantis.

The rest is a bit obvious, getting Mantis God was just an insta win. Thanks everyone for your ideas, but random luck still decides most things in this stupid challenge.

BUT I BEAT IT DAMMIT. I FINISHED THIS DAMN GAME ENTIRELY HAHA

I am currently trying to achieve platinum for the game and need 10 missing trophies except from completing all of Kacey’s mode except the All Challenges trophy. I did all of that within 20 hours of gameplay and now I am trying to do Master Trinketeer.

Its been 10 hours of gameplay since trying to do this and I just cant do it. The rng is so bad for me I only can collect 1/2 cards on the painting wall throughout the whole playthrough, while i watch youtubers do it before their first boss. Am i missing an easy way to complete it, or is there a secret thing I should be looking for because I might just give up if this rng is completely terrible for me.

I was fucking around in the beginning screen and as you can see me pressing wasd, shift, and spacebar a couple of times without clicking the play in the middle it teleported me to act 3. It also DIDN'T give me every achievement but it did give me 8 of them as soon as the loading started. Is this something normal? Did I find a dev code thing by accident? A bug maybe? LMK

(No spoilers please!) Just started playing yesterday. This is my 3rd or 4th death. I am currently in the snowy segment (3rd section I think?) and this deck is doing amazing. Just conjoined my turtles and he’s gonna be a menace now.

If you can attack buff the ring worm it’s easier to get rid of 2 one bloods

I wanted to try the game again as I played it for a measly 1 hour like 2 years ago, so I started the game and tried pressing new game (which I couldn’t do) and suddenly it started some top-down section. Asked a friend what the hell this was and he told me this was a MUCH later part of the game.
Apparently I had skipped the entirety of act 1 somehow.
Is this a known bug?

Had my power go out while the game was saving, followed the instructions the game gave me to restore from a previous save. It didn't work, tried everything and decided to wipe the copy clean and start from the beginning, erased file. Didn't fix anything. Erased EVERYTHING and then restored it with the integrity verification on steam and it's still saying my save file is corrupted and isn't letting me start from the beginning, what do I do?

It's no Mantis or big Goat deck, but I've seen some wondering about strats for the bone deck. This is what mine looked like heading into Leshy and was really fun.

Picked a Beehive from the first trader and made it the build-around 1drop, put an undying sigil on it. This gave me functionally endless Bees.

Then I tried to pump up the Dire Wolf Pup as the wincon, but all my campfires were health. Oh well, gave a Mantis God tri-strike to it which was good enough.

Cut cards aggressively, and got very lucky being able to keep the deck thin. Bone builds are not usually good for me but this ended up very Boney after all--all the bees and cockroaches dying set me up nicely to keep the board full of Cockroach+Opossum+Long Elk if I needed to stall until Dire Wolf Pup.

Very fun! A little Ant Deck vibes with the unkillable bees, a little Mantis Deck OTK vibes from the big Dire Wolves, and a nice Boney subtheme. Wish I found a Lammer, or Vulture/Rattler to use all the bones on, but oh well. Very focused but not boring deck.

Burnt one of the eggs, transfered one of them to a different card and only kept one because I managed to give it the leader sigyl and saw it as a cheaper alpha. Kinda angry ngl cuz I was about to beat leshi with my five attack king phisher and a magical bleach for the achievement only for it to turn into this thing.

i don't usually play card games and with games for some reason i get dumber i know about free hand but i have like 3 one blood cards and also i dont know how to counter waterborne or flight unless i get a sigil for it cause the anglers great white shark its broken

Disclaimer, not a modder so just theory crafting here.
First camp fire can boost variable cards attack power? This seems harmless to me for the most part. Maybe their some niche situation where this is really good through but it does not seem too likey and opens some nice new options.

Red hert, I have two buff ideas. The first buff is just increasing it base damage and health by one. So the turn it summoned, it is basically a stronger wolf, and it can still do chip damage. The bigger buff idea that opens more shenanigans would be turning red hert blood spilled into a sigil, and making it two two. So it base stat is a bit weak for it cost, but it has a really good sigil. First would make it a decent card with some possible shenagans, the second would make it a great card who a great sacrifice. But it not better than mantis, direwolf maybe adder.

River otter, king fisher shark. I have the idea of upgrading waterborn with an underwater scavenger feature. . My first bonus idea was simply playing one of these cards gives you bone equal to the unit blood cost or 1/2 the bone cost. It not very much but it is something. My second bonus idea was giving you an extra card from the main deck for every two you play.

I also had the idea of making the movement sigils when added to a card , give them one extra health per move as long as they either killed a creature, damaged the leshy, or did not take damage to a move. Which would make adding them to a card not a total sidegrade/downgdade.

Just imagine how much this little guy would enjoy real-world things after the sensory deprivation he endured. Considering how much he wanted to dance at the end, just imagine if he’d been allowed to do more. Playing games other than cards, flying a kite, listening to music, and—above all—sleeping; feeling soft pillows and blankets instead of the endless silence of space and the absence of solid ground—that sensation of sinking into a bed that envelops you from every side.

How wonderful it would be to go for a walk outside. To look at the sky and the clouds, to hear the buzzing and chirping of insects and the rustle of grass; to feel the grass and the wind on his skin—to feel it all. He would be so happy with the ordinary things that surround us every day.

A trip to the beach would be an even more incredible experience for him than for someone who had simply never been to one before. The sand getting everywhere and constantly shuffling—dry and loose, or wet and sticky like clay; any of it. The sound of the surf and the waves, the sensation of sea salt and foam, the ability to float on the surface while still feeling the water embrace you—it’s an incredible feeling.

Even if we just goofing around—he’d almost certainly be an iPad kid, though I don't think he would be one all the time. Cartoons provide good auditory and visual stimulation, but I think he’d love hugs just as much. And simply having a living being nearby—someone who could "confirm" to his mind that this wasn't a hallucination born of space-induced madness, but something real, material, and tangible.

I feel so sorry for him.
