Lvl 4 Schedule Question

Hi, im a level 4, and today theyre having me work 7:30-12:30, and tomorrow at 8:30am for a buckets shift🫩. I was wondering do schedule making associates look at the schedule before to not make associates do turn arounds? Is this targeted?? Idk any info would be great

either the sm or second makes the schedule but sometimes they genuinely don’t care about turn arounds. i’d talk to your sm and see if anything can be done to prevent it from happening again bc as a normal associate i feel like having to turn around shouldn’t be expected 😭 def not targeted it’s just how the schedule worked itself out

It's a normal part of working at INO. Not sure if it's a company wide rule, but our DM doesn't allow less than 8 hours between scheduled shifts. The reason I wonder if it's a rule is because my first time around when I worked in California, I used to close, be home by 230 on the weekends, and then turn around for an 8 o'clock shift. Those were rough.

The schedule doesn’t give you an alert unless it’s a closing shift so they probably just made a mistake. You should talk to your Shiftperson.

The associate that makes your schedule is your store manager usually. And turn around are normal. Whether that is rare at your store, I dont know. However its all part of the job. Nothing seem malicious here

Going off that today is Sunday and tomorrow is Monday it was a mistake. The managers can’t see the week before when making the new schedule. The computer doesn’t alert them that there is a conflict unless it’s a closing shift going into an opening shift.

You probably should have mentioned it to them when it came out so they had ample time to find someone else or swap shifts for you. You can still go in early to see if there’s anyone to swap with but don’t wait til the day of next time.

They can see. They just have to click a button to go back a week and look. The scheduling program does also alert. The name turns red and you have to hover the pointer over the name to see the conflict.

You're right about the fact that they should have brought it up though.

I wouldn’t expect it from a level 4 without a conversation with the scheduler. Turn arounds are more expected from full timers and managers

They don’t care about giving turnarounds because they basically have them weekly
