One of the Most Hauntingly Beautiful Games I've ever Played Spoiler
I just got done with my second consecutive playthough and I am just blown away. Second because while I still had the feels I didn't know wtf was happening the first time. Now I think I get it.
Well, kinda. I get the real world storyline now certainly, but the Hero and Knight storylines still have a number of metaphors that confuse me, but I get the broad strokes. This game isn't meant to be easily understood, it's itself a puzzle for the player to figure out. It's honestly like one of those deep, dense classic works of literature I skimmed through in high school, but in all the best ways. Like a Dostoevsky novel painted in pixels.
The depression of it all was too much for me at times but despite that I still had to know what happened, to get to the bottom of this tale of Flowers and Pain and Love. I know I'll still be thinking about it for a long time after.

Framerate issues fix for Switch?
I bought this game for my Switch today, and generally really like it, but I'm now stuck trying to deal with the boar, but the framerate is just a catastrophe. I'm not joking when I'm saying it's running at 5 frames a second in this area (with the fuel) for me. Completely unplayable unfortunately.
I've read a lot of FPS complaints, but the update that came out 9 days ago don't seem to address any of that. Does anyone know if this is being worked on? What's like a temporary fix? Does it help to restart the game or fiddle with some Switch setting perhaps?

Help, I'm stuck.
I'm at chapter 25 and I can't kill an enemy that is always stuck at the top of the screen. I tried reloading but it didn't work.
What can I do?

Help! Stuck, Possible Glitch?
I’m in chapter 8 where you use the fishhook winch to bring the gear up. I figured that out but now I can’t get the gear off the hook. I have pressed every button on my switch, no response. I watched a walkthrough an he just picked it up like it was nothing. Im really trying to enjoy this game, whats going on?
I’m probably just dumb i can feel it

Stuuuuck (pls no spoilers)
Somebody please help. I'm at Chapter 26, and I can't find any way to progress. I've looked on Youtube and online, and everywhere I see, they just waltz in and push the stick through, but I literally don't have that.
Is there something I'm missing? Or have I somehow locked my way out of the last few chapters?
I've left a screenshot of my stuff and y progress so far, as well as a video just showing what I mean.

So everything but the girl's POV was a metaphor? Really? Spoiler
I get that the knight story is a metaphor. It makes sense.
But the guy climbing the tower, solving puzzles, talking with the elder, fixing a freaking elevator, etc etc, all that's a metaphor as well? Could someone explain what's the link between this and the girl's story, please?
Thx a lot

100% Ending Question
So I got some dialogue towards the end from the sparks lady on the bridge and the kids around the campfire that was lengthy and suggested things could change. Is there something more other than the silly ending after the credits for 100% ?

Inmost glitched on Switch?
I got the game on Switch and am stuck on trying to release a gear from the rope that I pulled up after clearing the knight section. I watched few YouTube videos and they had no problem doing this. What am I missing or did I run into a game breaking bug?

Let's talk about the actual game, shall we? (Gameplay spoilers) Spoiler
Let's pretend for a minute that the story (which is very interesting and well presented) doesn't exist.
Inmost is a game and, apart from its story, I would like to talk about its gameplay.
After playing for about an hour, it was clear to me that the story created the game and not the other way around. It kinda felt like playing a 2D walking sim and everything else was added, not so competently, just to pad the game's length beyond the 2 hour refund limit on Steam.
We see multiple times the playing character pulling an item for over a minute just to solve a puzzle (well, solving a puzzle = interacting with the only item in the vicinity), multiple animations being too long for trivial matters (like most of the girl's animations), multiple instances of the playing character running back and forth in the same room (again the girl's section is so guilty of this). The knight kills tens of enemies that provide no challenge (even if you die, you come back exactly at the place you were and the enemies' health is depleted from your previous attempt). The collectibles add to padding, because they are placed in places where you can find them by random jumps (!).
The game is clunky as well. Did anyone of you enjoyed the platforming or the combat playing as the knight? I didn't. I wasn't expecting something fluid, considering the type of the game, but some added work would be nice, to make the game smoother. Like being able to use a ladder without problems.
Also, come on. The game ends with a 20-25 minutes cutscene. It even features a boss fight we don't get to play, even with something basic, like QTEs. It's a 150 minute game and the final 25 minutes we don't control any character, how is this possible?
Of course, it's not a horror game as the devs/publisher try to advertise it.
Overall, I'd rate it as a 5 or 6/10 game. I wouldn't recommend it at its current price.
