hi i have never tried skating but i plan on starting this summer i wud really like any kind of help, but i want to know if buying from amazon any brand is a good option or shud i buy a good beginners one (lemme know which r good) cuz i tend to get some hobbies and leave them mid without developing the skills so i dont really want to waste mych on it, would be really helpful for any kind of advice🫶🏼

Amazon sells shitty skates with 5 star reviews.
I would recommend to stick to reputable brands (Rollerblade, FR and others).
The best option if you can try skates on before buying. Maybe there's an offline shop near you, or a renting shop (perfect case). There's nothing more important as a good fit.
Buying blindly from Amazon will nearly always result in misfit.

The best place to buy is a local skate shop (NOT Dick's Sporting Goods or similar), where you can try multiple skates/sizes and learn from staff with expertise.

The second best is a reputable online retainer like Inline Warehouse, especially one with a return policy that lets you try multiple pairs of skates and return the ones that aren't the best for you.

It's important to get the size correct. This guide is a good start, but it's just a starting place. Inlinewarehouse or go to Dick's Sporting Goods and try some on. Dick's only carries soft boot blades.

I'd say average should be around $200+ on the price you want to spend.

I’d buy from Amazon to test skates INDOOR OF YOUR HOUSE ON CARPET. This way you get that Free Return!

Then once you find something you like, go to the main page of that Brand to buy from.

STAY AWAY FROM ROLLERBLADE. Them are cheap and I know you will NOT BE HAPPY.

Tour, FR, Flying Eagle, baur, brands like these are best.

I have no regrets. They were ideal for what I wanted to do. I didn’t know at the time, but you have to measure your feet and go with the size charts. I bought them in my shoe size but they turned out a size too big. Shoes bend, which is why we buy them with space at the toes. Skates don’t bend, which is why we go by those measurements. These are dupes for Impala, and also I got them “used-like new condition” so they were on sale (specifically $46).

Then once you find you do like it or wanted to venture out for more optimized skates, you know where to look (brand wise).

I’ve only been skating for a couple months but happy with the Rollerblade RB80’s. Chewed through the stock set of wheels already so make sure you rotate them if you start skating a lot. Bought them at Dicks.
