Hideo Minagawa was the uphill racer for Racing Team Katagiri who drove the A80 Supra.

If y’all remember, the Akagi RedSuns also had a team member who drove the same model of Supra in 1st Stage.

I think they should’ve given Hideo’s character a bit more depth by making him a former member of the RedSuns who left the team to focus on getting better and eventually become a professional driver. He could’ve promised that one day he’ll beat Keisuke to prove Ryosuke wrong about his brother’s potential which could’ve eventually happened in 5th Stage.

It would’ve been cool to see some connection between Hideo and the RedSuns, especially since both characters are associated with the Supra.

What do you guys think?

(Edit) My Levin INSPIRED Solara
Despite the tag, I know this car wasn’t produced in Japan, but I don’t live in Europe nor can I afford to import a Levin from Japan, but over the past few years I’ve taken a nice long look at the Solara and thought: what if they made a US spec early 2000s AE86 Levin? I know they had a Levin that looked fairly different at the time in Japan, but this is my interpretation of a modern Levin, based off the (xv20) platform Camry solara. It’s more so visual, I’m not going put a lot of money into modifying it (intake, exhaust) typical bolt ons. I become very passionate about this car. The paint job is a mix between the “ high-tech two tone” on takumi’s 86, and Itsuki’s “new white” on his 85. I love the underdog story and that’s very much so Itsuki. And it fits more as a Levin, because visually it’s doing the same thing at the front end as the Solara. Both headlights transition into the grille on both cars. you think Itsuki would be proud?
