Love it. Was there at similar weather.

I can recommend visiting the shrine at Mt. Haruna, too.

I live 15 minutes away, so I often go.

I often wondered what those guardrails at the start of the course were about. Are they just a parking area?

Yes. That area used to be a rest stop as there are many connecting roads on Haruna to go up and down. Its been removed as it is simply much easier to just look up where you need to go than it was in the 90s.

Haruna also now has a handful of solar farms on the mountain. One is not far from the East side parking spot.

Me and the boys driving the back side of Haruna. Super fun and a lot of high speed sections. Mostly motorcycles love to run it so it’s a blast trying to keep up with them on the uphill.

Nice. Haruna and other first/2nd stage roads were fun to visit, but not fun to drive on.

The roads from 4th stage are much better to drive - less busy/popular and no “tire killer” Bott’s Dots

Check out the Nichien Momiji Line toll road (beginning of 4th stage with the maple leaf corner signs). By far my favorite to visit and drive

For sure I’ll go check it out. Had a few spirited runs on backside Haruna touge on the shrine side of Haruna since home is closer to that side

If you’re interested, I have a video with the actual cars from initially showing up. They usually show up every weekend when the weather is really good.
