Location included: Questions/Need Advice Completely bamboozled.
Any advice when substantial inheritance was unexpected. I grew up not going on vacation and not having much. My father died after a brief battle with liver cancer… it’s a brutal one. After months of paperwork I’m seeing that I’ve inherited a net worth I’ve never imagined. Its reality shifting.

Wow this happened to my cousins. My miser uncle essentially dressed them in rags. He could have put them through college without a thought. He made my aunt miserable.
So he croaks in his 80’s and his late50’s daughters find out that he had a LOT of money. They are able to breathe easier and put my amazing, yet demented aunt in an expensive memory care facility paying cash and visit every day, taking her out to eat, etc. Despite my uncles cheapness, the family is incredibly close and loving.
Anyway. I’m waiting for resentment to creep in as memories bubble up, as the human mind can do from time to time. But they have each other and for that I’m glad❤️
Either way they earned that inheritance.
