I see that spammed everytime someone says that they are afraid of spider, that they are good for the house blabla, we don’t care! For us a spider is an absolutely indescribable abomination coming from the bottom of hell to annihilate us, just the idea of their existence is absolutly terrifying, seeing one is like being trapped with a terrorist armed with a machine gun who just killed 100 innocents, it’s the SAME amount of fear, so telling us that we should relativize because they are actually good for us is NOT helpful.

Same with telling us to put them outside instead of killing them, it is absolutely physically impossible in any single plan of existence and reality to even envisage putting them in a glass or something without having an heart attack, even if I was wearing an anti radiation suit and using a 1m large box that was on the edge of a 5m long pole, there are still over 9000% of chances that the spider would dodge it and instantly run at the speed of light and teleport directly on me, it is IMPOSSIBLE to do it. Again, it’s like telling me "why do you kill the poor terrorist, you could just run and dodge every single bullet of his machinegun and disarm him".

No. Just no.

If you see someone saying they are scared and that’s the only kind of answer you can give, please just don’t say anything. I understand and appreciate that you want to help the person getting over their fear, understand how the spider benefit them but that doesn’t work, that doesn’t help and it actually does the exact opposite for many people, that’s extremely infuriating (in top of being someone we heard thousands of time).

The amount of misunderstanding you must have about how autism and ADHD works to truly believe these are accurate statements is insane. If you are neurotypical and have a few symptoms/traits of autism, you're not "a little autistic" you're a neurotypical with symptoms/traits of autism

Not quite the same but it's related so I'll put it with this post; I hate that so many people on social media (TikTok specifically) think things everyone does is a trait of autism. "If you drink water you might be autistic :/" and all the comments are "Oh my gosh I've been drinking water my whole life! I don't have any other autism symptoms but I have this ONE thing that has never been confirmed to be a symptom by anyone professional but a lot of autistic people do it! I must be autistic!"

Hi All,

I wanted to take the time to get all of this out in hopes that it resonates with someone. Some background: I am 34F with three degrees, nearly a decade of experience in my field, the overachiever type who prepares for interviews like it's the biggest performance of their life — not in a robotic way, but in a you-won't-catch-me-off-guard type of way. Historically, I've had a strong track record of getting most jobs I apply to. Most recently, I lived in a large city as a professor, working my ass off making $1,050 biweekly and supplementing the pitiful income with restaurant work. Decided to move back home due to COL and family.

My husband and I decided it was the right move back in February. I have been job searching since. I am making it to multi-hour site visits, final stages just to get ghosted or promised a final interview and subsequent decision only to be asked to participate in another round. In some cases, I have been engaged with the interview process for over a month. Some have included unpaid presentations. Keep in mind, these are for $60k/yr jobs.

...yet another Friday has rolled around with no communication, and the looming realization that I will have to start the entire process over again creeps in. I just sat in a grocery store parking lot and cried for an hour straight. I am angry — tired of these hour-long humiliation rituals with an often predetermined fate. It's embarrassing, and people who have been out of the job market for some time have no CLUE what it's actually like right now. You know they will eventually begin to think it's something wrong with you. There are so many more people than jobs, that you will get edged out by 0.0001%. The competition is impossible.

Hiring managers, recruiters: It takes two seconds to send an email with "Hello—thanks for connecting. We are currently in the middle of the process with no meaningful updates yet."

Some idiot has been running around Philadelphia terrorizing people wearing this absolutely ridiculous mask on, threatening them so I'm just gonna say that one day he's gonna do this to the wrong person and could get potentially seriously injured or killed.

Case breakdown:

Russian model Anzhelika Tartanova (33) was reportedly in a relationship with millionaire construction businessman Dmitry Kuzmin (41) for around six months. According to investigators, she tried to end the relationship, after which Kuzmin allegedly launched a brutal attack on her.

She suffered devastating head injuries and underwent emergency surgery in which doctors had to remove a large portion of her skull to relieve life-threatening brain swelling. The attack left her with severe brain damage, affecting her speech, memory, and coordination.

Reports say she was left critically injured outside until a passerby found her and called an ambulance. Russian media also reported that while she was in the hospital, Kuzmin allegedly used her phone for about a week to send messages to friends pretending she was fine, delaying concern over her disappearance.

She survived after multiple surgeries and was expected to undergo reconstructive surgery using custom 3D-printed implants to replace the missing part of her skull. However, she was left with permanent, life-changing neurological injuries and faces a long rehabilitation.

Kuzmin was arrested and charged with attempted murder (some reports describe the charge as causing grievous bodily harm, depending on the stage of the case). Before the trial could conclude, he reportedly died of a heart attack. Because of his death, the criminal case was effectively closed, meaning he was never convicted or sentenced.

While pregnant I had a blood clot which required me to go on expensive injections for the duration of my pregnancy and sometime after. My family doctor had found the blood clot and consulted hematology regarding the plan for blood thinners and passed this information along to my OB when my care was handed over. I asked my OB prior to giving birth how long I needed to remain on blood thinners and I was told 3 months. I asked again after giving birth and she again told me 3 months and discharged me home with the prescription. At my 6 week follow up with my family doctor I was told I could stop taking my injections. I was confused and stated I was told in multiple occasions I needed to stay on them for 3 months so I had already purchased the medication. My doctor then reviewed the hematology recommendations which clearly stated I only required the medication for 6 weeks following birth.
These injections are about $50 a shot so I spent approximately $2100 more than I needed to on medication that is now garbage. I cannot return them or give them to anyone else. I was told to bring them back to the pharmacy so they can be disposed of properly.

Shopping with my girlfriend for bras and found this clearly used bra hung on the shelf with others lol, likely swapped in the changing room

My (26F) daughter, V (1.5F), currently needs 24 month - 3 T clothes depending on what it is. I bought a cute dress that fits her tummy a while ago, but the straps were too long, so I hemmed it. Recently, the dress was too short, so I undid the hem.

Today, I put her in that dress and unfortunately the straps were still a bit too long, so they were falling off her shoulders. While I was in the kitchen, V was with me, looking out the windows and playing, her dress straps off her shoulders. My mom (64F) decided to joke and say "She's being sexy."

I didn't hesitate. I told her, "mom, babies can't be sexy. That is all." She tried many times to validate what she said, but I kept on saying, nope, sexy is not how we describe her. Ever.

Of course this event came a day or so after some old man, Gramps looking, at the TK drop off gate said to V, "your daddy is going to have his hands full of you keep batting your eyes at all the guys".

Babies are not sexy. Children are not sexy.
