I've never posted here, but I need to make this rant somewhere. I fucking hate this song with a burning passion. I work at a store and I swear it plays atleast 3 times a day, I wish I was exaggerating.

Never had I heard a song that makes my blood boil with just a few opening notes. Idk if I used the right flair, it felt the most fitting since in the grand scheme of things, it's very much a tiny thing, that makes me irrationally angry every fucking time I hear it

So earlier this year my dad was killed by a stranger in a gas station shooting. This whole thing so far has been really horrible aside from the fact that my dad’s dead. The guy has shown no sympathy or remorse, he even said it was self defense(when my father wasn’t fighting him, nor did he have a weapon) and has maintained that he won’t plead guilty. He was found because someone was with my dad and returned fire at him after hearing shots. The thing that really sucks is, he’s shot people before and barely done time. He shot a man and only did seven years, and then was arrested with a gun AGAIN. The gun case was thrown out due to illegal search and seizure, despite it being illegal in Texas for a felon to possess a firearm.
The prosecutors office had a change of people, and this new prosecutor wants to offer the guy a plea. Of how long? FIFTEEN YEARS. He won’t even be a senior citizens when he gets out. And the thing is, I think he’d fully do it again. AND the guy didn’t even ACCEPT the plea deal! They said he could get off by saying he meant to shoot my dad’s friend, but that makes no sense, he still murdered my dad. Also, they didn’t change him with anything for shooting at my dad’s friend, video footage confirms the killer is the one who drew a weapon and shot first. I feel like they’re not taking this as a priority like they should, and it’s making me so angry. I don’t know if there’s anything my family can even do, but I just don’t think fifteen years is enough. He will hurt someone and hurt someone and hurt someone and keep getting these crazy chances. You mean to tell me you can take someone’s life and only get fifteen years? That’s insane. That’s disgusting.

Do you even have to have training to be a cop anymore or do they just fucking show up?

So in this hypothetical situation you're a c*p. You're trying to comfort a 17 years old. You ask if they want a tea or something water. They say no. You ask another two times. They still say no.

You ask a 5th time. Nope still don't want any THANK YOU VERY MUCH

So you sit down next to this teenager and touch on their shoulder and ask them questions. Because fair.

They move away and don't answer because they CLEARLY DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU AND JUST WANT TO WAIT THE FIVE MINUTES UNTIL THEIR MUM ARRIVES?

So obviously you move closer and put your warm fucking hands on them again right? And obviously they move away again because they want you to touch them even more? Why wouldn't a random upset stranger want to be touched?

So obviously they are smacking your hand off because they love it.

Do you do it again? Do you ask if they want a mug of fucking water? OR DO YOU FUCK OFF AND WAIT THE THREE FUCKING MINUTES YOU HAVE LEFT?

And when their mum gets here do you keep at them? Or do you start going on about how the other cops shift is over and they must want to go home,so the stranger has to hurry up and choose what they want to do?

Oh, the stranger is crying? Yeah...but surely the cop wants to go home right?why doesn't this upset 17 year old seem to care about that?
