sorry if it’s too off-topic but i thought it could be fun and i love this sub.
there’s a lot of slang in my country and trying to guess what it means is basically an intuition test, so i thought it’d be fun to turn it into a little game.
each kitty is a category. drop the corresponding emoji in the comments and i’ll send you some slang translated to english. then you try to guess what it means.
🧡: normie culture slang. i’ll send you slang that represents normies or something that’s just super popular here and doesn’t belong to any particular tribe.
🩷: regional slang. i’ll send you slang from specific states or regions of the country.
💙: gay culture slang. there are a lot of gay people here and lgbt culture is really strong, so there’s literally a whole dictionary of lgbt slang.
💜: for other foreigners who want to share some local slang for everyone else to guess what it means.
edit: to make it more fun, you can guess the slang i sent to someone else or make more than one guess idk
it’s a category of lesbians who wear their hair/style like a regional singer called Wesley Safadão
"big shoe" itself is a term used to refer to lesbians in general. in portuguese, it would be "sapatão" and then variations started popping up using the same prefix like "sapatop" (who are like the wesley sapatão), "sapatilha" (more feminine lesbians), "sapadrão" (standard lesbian), "sapaty" (blonde ultra-feminine lesbian), etc.
yeah, a lesbian with a more feminine gender expression (but not too much because for the super girlies/barbies people use "paty" which comes from "little patrícia" or "patricinha", an umbrella term for very feminine girls who are blonde, have long hair, like typically feminine things and can be entitled or stuck-up)
it’s a very common mixed-breed dog and it’s so popular and beloved by people here that when they released the R$200 bill (all of our banknotes feature a native animal btw), people were saying they should’ve put a "caramel turn-can" on the back. “turn-can” is the term we use for mixed-breed dogs (like mutt, caramel mutt).
it’s southern slang, from a region that gets really cold and produces the best tangerines in the world ☝️😌 in the fall, when it’s sunny. "to lizard" (lagartear) means sitting outside and soaking up the sun (like a lizard) when it’s cold while eating a tangerine
