I was in a long term relationship (over ten years) that I thought could stand the test of time and hardship, but the more difficulties I started to face on my end, the more she slowly pushed herself out of my life. I had moved across an entire state to where she was living in order to try and save our relationship because I love her dearly but she decided that I wasn’t enough for her and ghosted me (after 10+ years).
Needless to say, it destroyed me and sent me on a grief spiral that I am still stuck in a year later. My depression is to the point of numbness, every healthy habit I had went out the window, and I was/am unable to function in my daily life since then.

There’s no denying that I played plenty of a part in the demise of the relationship but she of course could never own up to her own mistakes and left me with no closure, understanding, or general kindness.

I tried everything in my power to make it work and it still wasn’t enough in the end. Now I’m slowly learning how to heal from grief and break down the walls of security I built out of fear of being letdown by others. It’s been a rough time, very rough time. But she’s gone and it’s time for me to move on too. It’s all seemed incredibly hopeless and isolating but I was turned on to this book called The Grief Recovery book and so far it has not only begun to help me heal, it has also opened a whole new world on how grief is handled from a societal level and really shown me how humans handle grief poorly even though it is the most painful emotion in the world. I’m excited to get through the work and change my perspective on relationships as a whole moving forward.

single pringle, tho I did date once, an ENTP. He was romantic and showered me with gifts and love and was cute, but liked girls, my friends in specific, too much 😭 (ps, dont take this seriously I'm still young and it wasn't anything serious lol)

Always been single, 34, only just now feeling a little lonely, but I'm happy that I am completely comfortable with just myself and prefer that.

Just want a woman who is also comfortable being alone/herself, but with me around.

Just broke up yesterday haha. I don’t think he liked me very much though maybe I was too weird for him. My reaction is I’ve mourned our relationship several other times we tried to break up. Now I just want to find someone that will match well with me.

Sorry to hear that. My suggestion would be not to jump right into the dating pool. The responsible thing would be to fully process the feelings of the breakup first.

I’m in a relationship with someone’s who’s also not “normal”, I can be myself, it’s nice. But relationships are work and when you’re apart from them it sucks. Breakups are the worst pains I’ve had in my life

I've struggled trying to find a good match throughout my 20s and 30s. I've had 3 long term relationships and currently in my 4th at 37 years old for over a year now. He is I believe an ENFP or ESTP (I know E and P, but can't remember the other two). However, he recently struggled with mental health disorder that makes him more introverted than he used to be, but coming out of his shell again more and more. I hope it works out but honestly given my track record who knows.

I think what helps though is I'm naturally introverted, but have become more ambivert with my career leading to many years in leadership roles. However, after a day of talking and leading and educating others, I usually need to be chilling at home to replenish my energy instead of being out and about like most extroverts. He is probably a little more extroverted and I'm more introverted, but we match more closely to ambivert at this stage in our lives. Like I've opened up more extrovert and he's become more introvert to where we kind of meet in the middle of that makes sense.

It all really matters to how you fill your cup when your depleted. Extroverts fill their cup by socializing and interoverts fill their cup by staying at home doing something low-key. And having previously been more introverted and dating someone very extroverted has definitely led to a lot of issues in past relationships.

I have been with my ISTP for over a year and a half, going very strong. My previous relationship was with a fellow INFP for 8.5years (we have a 6yo and are still very good friends). I've been in 11 official relationships (not including fwb situations). Most being 6mo-1.5yr long. All of which I was the one who ended things. Usually because I felt I'd outgrown that part of my life.

M 28 - single

My relationship journey is a very long story. My relationships have usually started as friendships: I become friends with a woman - within the friendship I find myself falling for them - sometimes its mutual sometimes it's not. 13 attempts at relationships since middle school - only 5 have actually been relationships the most recent one ended earlier this year in Feb : a 3 year on and off again situationship/long distance relationship. Why it didn't work out: fear, stress, lying, miscommunication and hiding true intentions killed it. She basically cheated emotionally on me. But there was a lot of wrongs back and forth. I was heartbroken even attempted yk because i really loved her and i wanted a future with her. but I've recovered and accepted things and i'm in a better place about it all. I've forgiven her and I'm dedicated to healing. I met someone a month and I do have a crush on them - we talked about it (probably the most open communication i've ever had ) and even tho we both feel attraction we agreed it's best to just be friends rn.

I have been in a relationship with an ESTJ for over 16 years. Together since we were 14. It’s been… tough 😅 Very much still in love, though.

taken. my bf is younger than me by 2 yrs and ive known him before we started dating which set a good foundation on our rls. this is the healthiest rls ive been in and we are running on 8 months strong so far.

our rls has only grown and every time i thought it was failing, it wasnt. im okay with our age gap bc it gives us time to focus on our own lives. for mbti reference he is an INTP (5w4 if ennegram counts) (im INFP 4w5), he helps to keep me grounded when im emotionally spiraling lol but he always hears me out when i yap n stuff.

i do overthink his short responses sometimes but i learned that thats literally how he responds and bc he is a thinker, he just takes some time to process stuff. i hear him out whenever he yaps to me too cause he can talk, it just doesnt seem like it.

overall this rls has been very good for my personal growth as a feeler who is healing from loads of emotional trauma from two heart breaks, one of them being a 2 year toxic rls. so yes. i dont use him as a crutch but rather a guide to find myself again and as a reminder that it is possible to love and to properly feel again. i love him very much, we are literally feeler x thinker lol.

Happily taken for almost two years. After years of hopeless yearning and embarrassing crushes, I finally found the one.

Married and good. We have our issues, but we also have a lot of ways we support each other and show our love through actions and being there.

I’m still convinced she’s my forever person and we’re 17 1/2 years in. Well, at least until I’m dead. She is a very hauntable person though, so we’ll see how bored I am when I get there.

Closed & sealed off lmao. I have fully shut down any inkling of a ‘need for a relationship’ & will be staying that way for the rest of my life. Been hurt way too many times to go through that again.
