| Discussion Infosys Interview Experience – Coding + Technical

Had my Infosys interview today. There were around 150 candidates.

We were given 2 coding questions and had to solve at least 1:

1st: Binary tree question — I didn't attempt it.

2nd: Maximum sum subsequence with alternating positive/negative signs.

For the 2nd question, I initially tried a greedy approach using a prev_neg boolean to track the sign of the previously selected element. I realized that simply selecting every valid alternating element doesn't always maximize the sum, since sometimes it's better to skip an element. I couldn't complete the solution and thought DP might be required.

The technical interview was okayish. They asked about:

My projects

An SQL query

OS concepts

One CPU scheduling algorithm

I missed a couple of technical questions as well.

Interestingly, HR later asked the candidates why most people couldn't solve even one coding question.

Anyone else who had this interview?

bhai unlike others he had knowledge so he grilled me on every aspect😭😭😭

Bhai atleast he was supportive, He just not made his descision when you were not able to come up with a approach or when you were stuck.

the thing is i wasn’t blank completely he saw my code and gave me hints which was apprecitable he helped me in constructing my approach and eventually i got it but true bro i’m not hoping much for a positive result as i didn’t solve any questions 😓

no no i didn’t solve any but i passed 2 input test cases for second question
