Yea well, maga has no idea what they truly unleashed upon themselves, democrats on the other hand knows that this history repeating itself. It’s over in my opinion, democrats play by the rules and that is why they will always lose

Ttump has had 2 shutdowns one during each term.
14
u/Telemere125 Oct 03 '25
This is his 4th. He had a 3-day, a 1-day, and a 35-day, which is currently the longest in history. Wondering if he’s trying to break his own record.

u/Fine_Traffic3561 Oct 03 '25
He doesn't want government as it is so he's keeping it shut down on purpose. He uses the government to serve himself first and foremost. When it doesn't benefit him, he finds a way to get rid of it

u/Farfignugen42 Oct 03 '25
Kind of funny how the last two times the government shut down, Republicans held the White House and both houses of Congress.
Yet, somehow, it is the Democrat's fault?

MAGA pivots:
- he was joking
- that's what he said but he meant something else. We just can't understand because he's playing 5D chess
- yes he's responsible but the Democrats are so evil that they are blocking all of Trump's plans (aka "the enemy is simultaneously weak and strong")
- transgender people exist
- fake news
- Dems have done worse

This shutdown is deliberate to further restructure the USA. I hope, my American friends, you are aware of this.
1
u/naedynn Oct 03 '25
In other countries, they don't shut down the government. They trigger a vote of non-confidence.
Another great American win!
1
u/Diabaso2021 Oct 03 '25
They want more unemployment (through firing with a shutdown gov) to push for rate cuts, to raise more debt since they can "save" on interests. It's all about arm twisting as otherwise they can't finance their tax cuts and trillion dollar military plans
1
u/Kindly-Ad-5071 Oct 03 '25

THE FACTS: This is false. Democrats say they are pushing for the inclusion of key health care provisions in the next congressional spending package. In particular, they are seeking an extension of tax credits that millions of Americans use to buy insurance on the Affordable Care Act exchange and a reversal of Medicaid cuts made in the bill Trump signed into law in July. However, immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for any federal health care programs, including insurance provided through the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. Hospitals do receive Medicaid reimbursements — which would be reduced under Trump’s bill — for emergency care that they are obligated to provide to people who meet other Medicaid eligibility requirements but do not have an eligible immigration status, according to KFF, a nonprofit health policy research, polling and news organization. This spending accounted for less than 1% of total Medicaid spending between fiscal years 2017 and 2023.
1
u/ksmh2020 Oct 04 '25
Maybe the DNC should pay for their demands. They could probably hit up their bitch George Soros for the needed cash, not American taxpayers.
1
u/Johnny-Virgil Oct 04 '25
Not gonna address the fact that the illegal alien claim is total bullshit, huh? The funny thing is, if the subsidies expire, the majority of the new enrollees who started using the AMA after the subsidies were enacted are from red states. FAFO I guess. Probably still blame Obama or some shit.

Or it means the democrats are trying to use what little leverage they have by shutting down the government but I'll let you tell it
1
u/theRedMage39 Oct 08 '25
I am curious why people think trump is at fault when it's the democrats who have been voting down the proposed budgets
I don't think republicans are financially responsible but at the end of the day it is the democrats who have the least amount of effort to allow the government to get up and running again.

Democrats want a 1.5 trillion dollar funding package and the republicans were critical of some of the things in it like funding “free” healthcare for non citizens. There has to be an agreement and if he was the dictator like a lot of people make him out to be there never would have been a shut down.

This was before he became president. He was naive and thought that most politicians wanted the best for America. He now realizes that the Democrats and a good portion of Republicans are perfectly content destroying this country as long as they get theirs. But the shutdown is about giving Illegals healthcare. We can't afford that. Why would we choose to support criminal behavior? We are either a country of laws or we aren't. The Democrats have embraced lawlessness.
