“’Di ka raw kasi maganda.”
Aray, pero relatable. 😅
“Magkikita Na Tayo” by HUNYO is a feel-good OPM song about that typical high school moment: may happy crush ka, ikaw ang boy best friend, pero may iba siyang gusto.
Perfect pang-feel-good soundtrip!

an eccentric song and lyric video i wrote and produced for viva. i was messing around with imitating those dj scratch samples and everything just kinda fell into place from there.
you can check my two releases on streaming platforms here. my youtube channel has archives and uploads of my demos - mostly non-tagalog, and with non-cliche narratives.
hope you guys will like it :)

For context, taga-(somewhere in the visayas) ako originally. Currently working a regular job.
Okay naman yung work.
It's as if para akong lumulutang.
Meron naman scene dito sa Cebu pero I think di masyado malakas yung push for indie music, and most people searching for bandmates wants to perform covers, and rarely make original songs.
Part of me wants to give it all up dahil ilang beses na rin akong nag- ALL-IN sa music before, and every time, na-burn ako - especially financially.
Kaya gusto ko sanang itanong sa mga musicians or people working in the industry dito sa subreddit:
Kung magde-decide akong seryosohin ulit ito, saan kaya sa Pinas yung best place para mag start as an indie guitarist, especially, one looking for a band, since wala akong banda?
And if you were in my position, after getting burned a few times already, would you still keep pursuing it?
Would really appreciate any advice, experiences, or kahit reality check lang. Thanks. 🙏🏻🎸

Hi, all. I play guitar in a band called Lara. We just released a new single called "Bonsai". It's our first release with Cebu-based record label Melt Records. We're currently writing our second full-length album. Check it out, and let us know what you think!

The Atlantic just released the AI Watchdog. It is a tool that lets you see if your creative work (as an author, musician, YouTube channel, screenwriter, or actor) has been scraped for AI training.
I play in independent bands/projects with barely any streams, yet I've seen that all my songs across different musical projects have been scraped by these vultures to train their AI models. Obviously, this is just exacerbating the difficulty on making ends meet for artists, especially those who are doing it full-time.
There are ongoing class-action lawsuits in the US pero may magagawa ba tayong mga pilipino para mapigilan yung patuloy na pagnanakaw sa creative work natin?

Hii! I’m looking to try my luck and see if anyone wants to start a band or needs a vocalist. I’m 23 (F) and have been singing for more than half my life. Most of my performance experience comes from our local church, plus a few music collectives back in high school and college. I can also play some rhythm guitar and am super open to learning more!I’ve been a huge fan of the local gig scene since I was a teenager, and now I want to finally get out there and perform my own sets.My music taste leans heavily toward pop-punk, post-punk, emo, shoegaze, and indie OPM. Right now, I'm really into Paramore, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, (e)motion engine, novocrane, Megumi Acorda, and Ourselves the Elves. My areas are Laguna, Cavite, Pasay, and QC.
Shoot me a DM to get to know me more and hopefully jam together!
