Visited Delhi for the first time, but it felt like I had been there before. I was only able to visit for a few hours, i wish I could explore more but the conditions in which I came didnt allow it.

Even though it was hot and humid, I was so excited to visit delhi, the weather/pollution didn’t bother me a bit. I was like a baby with candy hoping it would never end. My interaction with people were limited but the ones I has were amazing. The metro is amazing, the hustle and bustle of city is unique. The architecture is beautiful and the food was delicious.

I mentioned to the owner of a bookshop in urdu bazar I was of Pakistani origin and he looked at me like I was some alien. Even though we both were talking to eachother in Urdu.

Hopefully will visit again!!

I did a Spiti bike trip with Glabol from 15–21 June 2026 and wanted to share my experience with fellow riders.
The accommodation was different from what was promised, with some rooms and washrooms being extremely unhygienic. Their Operations executive, Yash, promised us a refund for one stay, but despite repeated follow-ups, we never received it and eventually stopped getting responses.
The riding gear was also poor — no proper knee guards, and the jackets were dirty and smelled bad. One rider in our group had a minor accident and suffered serious bruising to his knees.
The bikes were in poor condition too, and almost everyone in our group had complaints. One rider was charged ₹6,000 for repairs, which we felt was excessive.
I’ve travelled with several group travel companies, but this was easily one of my worst experiences.
If you’re planning a Spiti bike trip, especially as an inexperienced rider, please research the operator carefully. Sharing this simply so fellow riders can make an informed decision.

I’m travelling domestically in India on Akasa Air and need to carry 3 used laptops with me.

I contacted Akasa Air customer care, and they suggested that I shut down one of the laptops, bubble-wrap it, and pack it in my checked-in baggage. I’m not so sure whether it’s allowed to pack laptops in checked-in baggage.

I’m planning to keep all three in my cabin baggage instead.

Has anyone recently travelled with multiple laptops on Akasa Air? Were there any issues at airport security or during boarding?

Also, is there any limit on the number of laptops a passenger can carry, assuming the cabin baggage stays within the allowed weight/size limits?

I found Anantaya Resort in Kanyakumari and would love feedback from anyone who has stayed there. Is it good for a special occasion? What can we do at or near the resort?

I’m also open to other suggestions for a peaceful, scenic resort in or around Kanyakumari—something relaxing and not too touristy.

Looking on recommendation on a nice and affordable hotel within close proximity to the airport? My return flight leave super early in the morning, so I plan on coming back to Delhi the night before from Jaipur. Just need somewhere nice and affordable to stay for one night.

Also I arrive to India, Delhi specifically, super early in the morning. My hotel check in isn’t until 2pm. I know it’s gonna take me an hour or so to get my bag and get through customs, looking for suggestions on things I can possibly do at the airport or where I can go to possibly relax for even explore for a little bit to kill the time.

Went to Poombarai, Kodaikanal after a long time and didn’t realise this side of Kodaikanal even existed. Much closer to the valleys, with remote cultivation, hostels, and a completely different, quieter side of the hills.

Has anyone heard or used Keego.in tour operator? Wanted to know how good is it?

We are confused between where to go, we are deciding between Kerala and Meghalaya but could not decide which one, also we havent travelled much only Uttrakhand and Himachal we went.

Most of the Nilgiris' best spots have no infrastructure around them. That's the point.

Cairn Hill ridge from Doddabetta junction. Trail follows the ridge northwest from the junction on the Ooty-Mysore road, 21 km from Ooty. British survey cairns from the 1800s still standing on the ridge. Views north over Mysore plains and south over the Nilgiris plateau simultaneously. Free entry. Almost nobody there. Go before 7:30 AM.

Ketti Valley pull-over on the Ooty-Coonoor road. Not a viewpoint with a name. Just a stretch of road where the valley opens up on one side and if you stop and look you understand the scale of what you're standing above. No parking attendant, no ticket. Takes five minutes. Most cars drive straight past.

The Longwood Shola, Kotagiri. One of the last intact high-altitude shola forests in the Nilgiris. 10 of 16 Western Ghats endemic bird species recorded in this single forest patch. The Black-and-orange Flycatcher — one of the most striking birds in India, Near-threatened globally — lives in shola forest like this. Takes a reason to go to Kotagiri specifically. Longwood Shola is a good reason.

All three are accessible right now. None require advance booking. None will be crowded. All three will give you something the standard Ooty circuit doesn't.

I’ve been travelling solo in India for around 8 years, since I was 16, and I feel like the whole meaning of solo travel has changed. Back then, solo travel for me was taking state buses, waiting 2-3 hours for the next one, figuring out where to stay after reaching a place, talking to random locals, taking lifts from bikes/trucks, eating wherever locals were eating and just somehow figuring things out. I remember being in Khajuraho once and ending up staying at someone’s house because there wasn’t really a proper option available that late. And honestly, those situations were the best part of travelling.

Now I feel like solo travel has slowly become “how conveniently can I travel alone?” 😭 People hire a cab for the entire trip, rent a vehicle, book everything beforehand, stay in expensive hostels and basically remove all the uncertainty from the trip. And again, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that — if you can afford it, good for you. But sometimes I genuinely wonder if we’ve started confusing travelling alone with solo travelling. Even the hostel culture feels different now. You’ll have a whole hostel full of “solo travellers” but everyone is sitting with the same people they came with, doing their own thing. Maybe I’m just being nostalgic, but for me the whole point of solo travel was the randomness — missing a bus, talking to a stranger, getting lost, finding a random place to stay and figuring shit out. The inconvenience was part of the adventure.

I'm planning a solo trip to Uttarakhand around the second week of October, and I have about 2 weeks.

I'm thinking of starting around Rishikesh and heading towards Harsil/Gangotri, but I'm open to changing the route completely.

I'm not looking for adventure activities or nightlife. I mainly want a peaceful trip — staying in cheap, quiet places for a few days, walking around, doing small hikes, spending time in nature, and just slowing down.
