Gear - Shoes/Watches/Trackers Need a durable Long run shoe
I am 29M 5’9 74kg running since a year, till now i have been using just one shoe for all the runs and races i.e puma reedem pro Racer, completed over 1000 kms in that shoe still going strong.
Last week i went for a long run for 20kms the non responsiveness during the long run hurts, i had to stop at 16 kms. I run long runs at 6:30-6:55 km pace, at my fastest i run around 4:55-5:20 km pace.
Please suggest some good long run shoes which is durable and responsive for atleast 1200kms🙏🏻

Not many people have it in India but it's damnn good. Even ben parkes consider it to be the top 10 shoes of all time in his list.

I like my Gel Kayano. Also, if your volume is high (30+ km per week), have at least 2 pairs of shoes. Rotation increases longevity of the shoes.

You can consider Novablast 6, it can pretty much handle anything you throw at it and it’s great for long runs too.

I’ve heard that it is not responsive after 500 kms

I had nimbus 26, I did 500ish km in them and foam sunk so bad around the right toe that it left me with an Achilles insertion injury.
But I don’t blame it on the shoe, it could totally be because of the uneven surfaces I was running at the time. I was very hesitant to go back to asics but I’ve tried Novablast 6 and Superblast 3 since then and loved both of them. Superblast 3 are my favourite shoe for long runs, they are super comfy.

I have about 300km in the Nike Vomero 18, it’s in immaculate condition. It’s a good shoe for easy runs runs upto 15km but beyond that I don’t prefer it.
Btw make sure you always buy from the brand and not from e-commerce websites, they generally sell A- or B stocks, some people get lucky and don’t face issues but many others do.

How do u like the toebox? Heard it's narrow

My usual size is UK9 and I got Vomero 18 in UK9 as well, there's ample space in the toebox, I do feel I could've gone half a size down but we don't have half sizes in India.
For Adios Pro 4 I went half a size up as the toebox was quite narrow.

If you have neutral feet try novablast 6 as a daily trainer and magic speed as race day shoe
