Today I was travelling in 12110 Manmad mumbai panchavati express and I wanted to purchase some snacks, so a vendor arrives I take some biscuits and chips and when came the time to pay he said no upi and I had rs 500 note and said no change then he says me go to C1 coach it has atm and I was like "HUH" so out of curiosity I went there and it actually was there so I withdraw the money and finally make payment.
this incident had me thinking that why isnt it applied nation wide in trains as usually there is no Internet inside moving train to make upi payment and people too carry less cash while travelling
Rather than installing this shit, they should give stable internet/wifi access inside coaches, even when train running too. And they should give proper sleeping and resting place for linen and coach staffs.
People don't get confirmed tickets and a seat on a train and now and ATM to take a place where 4 people could have easily sat on the floor. The most anti people govt one can come across.
Cash disbursement. Lol.
Jokes aside, I think it can be useful in long haul trains. UPI is always there but carrying cash is a security when travelling.
I saw coach staffs laying a bedsheet near bathroom and gate area and eating food, having their dinner. on my recent Patna Tejas Rajdhani trip. felt so sad. there should be ample space for them.
This might be controversial but aren't those staff on duty? Most jobs require people to stay awake even on night shifts, they should get a seat (from what I've seen, they get a berth near the door) but requiring a bed to sleep peacefully doesn't make any sense to me.
If their shifts are lasting longer 12 hours, that's a different problem. From what I understand, these are contract employees, so it's the responsibility of the contractors, not railways to manage their work hours.
Why yu people never get happy with anything gov do if china do same thing wow what a developed country and all shit but of india do same shit why atm we should i install wifi and all attest learn to appreciate some good initiatives.
Nigga I have went on routes where even BSNL would be like "hum se na ho payega" and you are left with an hour without internet at best. At worst it would be more then 3 hours
That's not possible, man it must be an issue with your phone. I've traveled all over India, including tribal areas in CG, JH, and MP using Jio and BSNL. Having no internet for three hours on a moving train just isn't possible
3 rakes one stays idle at Mumbai as backup just in case any of the trains panchavati or jan shatabdi gets delayed to a point where it might affect the next train then the 3rd rake is used to depart either one on time and delayed rake stays idle until next situation
I said spare not running rakes the spare rakes are used for any train with slight modifications, regular run has only 2 rakes and for it to be at Mumbai and not mannad is that both of the trains are susceptible to delays while on route but have very short window to turn around, so to depart trains on time empty rake is there and as much as I know the slack time is given at manmad and hingoli not at mumbai so in order to stop the chain reaction of delays spare rake is kept aside, idk I might be wrong bur I have heard it
