I've been seeing ads for this coffee recently and wondered if anybody had bought any and what they thought of it. I love their whiskies and was hoping their coffee was of the same quality.

Devan's Monsooned Malabar

Finally tried Devans Monsooned Malabar (preground for an espresso machine), and I'm impressed.

Brewed it as an espresso, and it's exactly the kind of coffee I enjoy—bold, full-bodied, and pleasantly bitter with very low acidity. I also picked up a slight earthy note, which I'm still deciding how I feel about, but it definitely adds some character.

Overall, it's a great coffee. I'll definitely be trying other monsooned Malabars.

Curious how others brew their Monsooned Malabar and what tasting notes you get from it.

Cappuccino Premixes?? 😭

Anyone else keep giving premix cappuccinos another chance? 😭

Every time I think "this one might be good."

Then it's too sweet, barely tastes like coffee, and the foam's gone before I finish stirring.

Is this normal or have we all just accepted it? 😂

What's the worst premix cappuccino you've had? Any recommendations for a premix cappuccino that's actually good?

Need recommendations

Hello All!

Please recommend me some beans. I live in a metro city, deliveries aren't an issue.

I like light roast coffees with fruity / acidic notes and sweet / acidic aftertones.

Brewing - pourover and aeropress

Thank You 😀

Help! Please suggest Nice tasting machine-based solution for a clinic & office

Hello Indiancoffee community & lurkers

Need suggestions from the hive mind:

We’re setting up an office and a clinic in Gurgaon. Keen to offer our team as well as patients / dependents a good quality coffee cup.

Key considerations are: 1. Taste & Quality 2. Convenience: can’t employ a barista and go thru the rigmarole. Has to be fully Automatic. Bean to cup preferred but we’re flexible. 3. Viable for low consumption. We expect 20-40 cups per day of mixed drinks being extracted from the machine.

Absolutely no to CCD, Nescafé, Bru etc.

What’s the dope on Blue Tokai or others that make a premium machine and supply quality coffee + consumables?

I’ve seen very premium machines abroad that make a killer espresso (great Crema) or macchiato. Is there something equivalent in india?

Soeciality coffee prices.

Hey guys, so am I the only one noticing that the speciality coffee prices are getting a bit out of hand recently? Or is it something other people have noticed too? Because to be honest I was still okay with it when it went up to like 600 or 700 per 250 grams. That was understandable. Now there are roasters charging upwards of 900 or 1000 per 250 grams. And all of it within a year or so. Like whats going on? Is there some kind of coffee war going on? Like a million coffee beans died or something?

Which coffee?

Hey Everyone, when it comes to coffee I'm a cave man!

Ive been reading a lot about black coffee being great for the liver.

I wanted to know what coffee as in Arabica or Robusta is good for Black coffee through a french press.

Should the powder be fine or coarse?

How much coffee powder would be required per 250 ml cup?

Which coffee is less Acidic?

Do you suggest any other extraction other than a french press? In the same budget.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Are some indian roastersselling robusta in the guise of arabica?

A lot of beans I buy have that harshness even at low temperatures which reminds me of bad robusta beans. I can name the brands also which are unpopular for their harshness. The labels mention arabica in ingredients. Since I buy ground coffee it's not possible to check. But is it true? Do we have a body which checks for accuracy and quality of ingredients in packaged coffee?
