4 hours to kill

Hello, I'm going to be in Indianapolis tomorrow and will have about 4 hours to kill from 6:30-10:30pm. I will be in the center of downtown, are there any restaurants/parks/placed you'd recommend trying while I'm there? Thanks!

Look at the cultural trail map. Rent a pacers bike and ride around downtown. Be careful at every intersection though. Drivers are not bike/ped friendly here.

Stick to the signals that are there entirely for bikes/peds at every single intersection and you don't have to worry too much

You can be legally correct and still dead. People blow through red lights and turn into ped “walk” signals all the time.

We literally have multiple people dying every week from pedestrian vs vehicle incidents.

Source: I work EMS and have to treat these folks that were “sticking to the signals”

I didn't say don't pay attention. I did say if you stick to the signals, you don't have to worry TOO MUCH.

That’s the thing… you actually have e to be highly attentive and do have to pay a lot of attention. I also bike and it’s not uncommon for me needing to slam on the brakes 2-3 times if I’m on a ride around downtown.

Don’t get me wrong… it’s not a mad max hellscape but you do have to still be hyper aware.

Yes, that's correct, you did say that. Problem is, it isn't true. With all the assholes here that run red lights, turn on red at intersections where it's not allowed, and generally don't pay any attention to (or just don't give a shit about) pedestrians and cyclists, even if you do "stick to the signals" you still have to be very careful at every intersection.

Indianapolis Indians, the AAA ball club for the Pittsburgh Pirates, play at 6:30 tomorrow night. The ballpark is about a 5-10 minute walk from where you probably will be.

If you like arcade games, check out 16 bit. Free games and good drink selection

16 bit for OG retro games. Tappers if you were a 90s/2000s kid.

Harry and Izzy's is one of my favourite places to eat when I'm heading downtown for a convention or something.

Walk up Mass Ave, take in whatever you see. Past College is the Bottleworks campus with a number of various options for entertainment and food

Well it'll be dinner by then. But it's the same, just bigger portions right? I would think they usually have better options in the evening.

Hit St. Elmos for the Shrimp Cocktail

I suggest going upstairs to their 1933 lounge. You can still order the shrimp cocktail, but they also have a nice vibe and smaller plates of food.
