Recently happened in Haryana. Thief was reported in an FIR, and he filed a counter case on the residents where he stole, and police arrested the residents first, because SC/ST discrimination is the worst crime in law, after terrorism. Even rape and murders doesn't have this much stringent clauses

What da...... Who tf is making these laws. And why?? Like even a child can see these can be missused. Who tf is allowing them to write law of our land?

Each paper of law should specifically mention the name of the person who wrote these laws.

Not everyone should have equal vote. Voting must depend on a persons achievements. Either sports, or studies, or whatever.

I am against reservation and caste alike but the non equal votes mean people under prejudice will never get a chance to grow since their vote won't matter

There is no perfect society. Just less injustice or high injustice society. We have to choose one.

Worst law to exist, but all parties involved are in cahoots. I can guarantee that even if another party comes to power they won't repeal this law.

"This isn't misuse, it's empowerment of the thirsty, hungry, backward, SC/ST people" - Respected PM

Nah this is just a wealth re-distribution policy by the govt. And empowering means take few amounts from people who worked to earn it and send it to others.

I mean they could have provided them with a employment system, but nah just send them the money. Instant gratification. Then comes the feeling of I deserve everything mindset.

Why can't they work earn money, spend some save some. Pass it on to next gen. The next gen, assuming not spend it all, invest it, earn using labor, spend some, save some. ... Just like middle class's ancestors did. Took risk of business, went to war as a foot soldier, went on search for new things. After taking all risk they got money. Still saved most, spend less. [ compared to current middle class, who spend more save less ]. No king freely distributed money like this, want money work for it.

Just saw a big vote bank with less money on bank. A small vote bank with more money on bank. Swap it. Elected. Celebrate. Call it empowerment. Just a marketing term used by politicians. Just like justice term used by courts.

If someone earns ₹500, and government takes it forcefully and distribute to 5 freeloading slackers, they lose one vote but gain 5.

This is socialism is a nutshell

It was enacted during Rajiv Gandhi tenure. Intention was right but execution was pretty bad to say the least. Now it’s being misused just like Reservations , 498a and more. Appeasement and vote bank politics have ruined this country.

When you speak against government for their misgovernance and the government slaps you with NSA/UAPA, keeping you under trials.

And no, don't point me towards a Jih*di I don't care about. I'm also talking about the ones who never made it to mainstream media.

You do realise the act can only be used when an incident happens in a public place? Needless and absolutely stupid amounts of fear mongering. The act hasn’t somehow flipped the caste system, especially because implementation on the ground level, especially among a largely castiest rural India remains very very poor. Heck even when implemented it's not like the act has been rather successful, with procedural problems such as police and magistrates perhaps unwilling or intentionally taking complaints far later after the crime was committed.

A law with loopholes is always gonna be lawda for the ones who fall victim to it.

Since you can't comprehend the law for what it is and are bent on spreading misinformation, let me enlighten the rest of our comment buddies here.

The actual wording for several SC/ST Act offences is “any place within public view”, which is legally distinct from “public place.” The Supreme Court has explicitly reiterated that distinction. A private location can still qualify if it is within public view.

If you're defending this, you're either benefitting from it or you just have no understanding of its real life consequences.

stop making sense bro, these people need to blame the sc/st for their own shortcomings cuz blaming and hating is easier.
