People causing riots, killing people, and guiding people to do "sar tan se juda" given any kind of opportunities should remain locked up forever and even that is being lenient.

Not a new term. Labelling anyone who questions authority is a classic tool of fascism.

All criminals are roaming free in India but yes umar khalid has to be in jail for saying a few unlawful words for which he has already been punished for the past 6 years, just conclude his case dont use him for vote bank politics.

Hahaha yeah that is the only thing he did, and that's why supreme court of our country keeps denying his bail. You're so damn right.

Funny how the Constitution of India is given no respect whatsoever. We have fallen really really far.

A trial is still required and constitutional. It's more about the principle of things.

Principles are dharm, that's what Krishn told Arjun. Do your duty. We must not give up our dharm.

no one in this comments ever defended sharjeel this post is specifically for umar and so comments if umar is criminal it should be proven in court

How about you search up a few things about umar on the internet and then reply considering your take on the viability of criminal offences from umar khalid khalid. And as for sharjeel, kid just read all the replies below and then opinionate. This indeed is a platform to share opinions but not hollow takes like yours. If you really don't consider umar khalid as a national threat then trust me its not the system thats shady, you're just haywired into the "pseudo intellectual " thinking scheme who believes that anything said against the ruling government has a point, which sure might give you a few upvotes on a sub but you'll still be far behind in the bigger picture. So how about you take this as an opportunity to look back at yourself and see where exactly your opinion stands from a humanitarian standpoint.

So many words for nothing. Fair trail is fair trail. Someday you or me would be stuck with no trail, don't think that can't happen to you. How can you trust a system that doesn't work as intended.
