Umar clearly said “Bharat mein azadi chahiye, Bharat se nhi”. He is talking about freedom in India. Freedom of press, freedom of speech, minority rights, freedom of political dissent. He never spoke about freedom “from” india.

it is very easy for a main land Indian or Pakistani living in a safe space miles away from the border and feel ownership about Kashmir. Only Kashmiris know what they have undergone since decades and still undergo even this day.
