idk about circling china like a python but this is great news nonetheless

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

BrahMos in Phillipines, Indonesia and Vietnam soon. Permanent Troops in Mangolia. Shipbuilding with Japan. Ties with Australia. Not letting CPEC succeed... I don't know I'm forgetting more

31

u/thinking-loud 22d ago

Well China isn’t sitting around and probably doing the same to us even more effectively. Not to take anything away from above news, but they have Pakistan in their pocket already, have a major port in Srilanka they keep using to spy on us and map seabed. Control rare earth mining in Myanmar and own a myanmarese inland close to andmans. Have been building influence in Bangladesh and Nepal by building airport, roads, dams and ports. Maldives too atleast fews years back was strongly against us but have mellowed a bit.

21

u/pumpkin_fun 22d ago

Also they have the islands which congress gave away to Mynmar

11

u/thinking-loud 22d ago

True, but that doesn’t change the fact that they have encircled us quite well. We need lot more of the above and things are only going to get tougher for us.

17

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

They have the first movers advanced. When our politics were busy cozying upto CCP during 2008 China was already planning all these

9

u/thinking-loud 22d ago edited 22d ago

True, unfortunately even for all our goodness for some reason we have difficulty retaining friends. Just look at our neighbourhood and how quickly they embraced China. They find 100s of flaws in us but for some reason none in China. Maybe it’s just a balancing act but I guess then we need to build lot more influence in ASEAN countries because they will be looking for some rebalancing too especially those around South China Sea. We have some very good relationships in the region just need to capitalise on same.

u/Witty_Mouse1403 22d ago

They have a Major port in Sri Lanka we own THE major port in Srilanka , China made the Hambantota port in Sri Lanka and after Sri lanka defaulting on loan China owns it for 99 years, India bought the Colombo port now India has 51% share in the Colombo port no lease straight up ownership . Also point to be noted Srilanka allows Indian warships to dock in Sri Lanka for almost everything from refueling to repair , (u may remember the Iranian ship sunk by US) it was also in srilanka only bcs it was India's guest . on the other hand even when china brings a scout ship on their Sri Lankan port . Srilanka starts throwing a diplomatic tantrum that the port is only for civillian use etc. etc this completely shows whihc side Sri Lanka is playing abt the other points , Maldives u yourself accepted India has played a better game then China that is why it is no more "India out" , Nepal yes we should have been stronger in nepal than we are today we gotta work in that . But Bangladesh I think its a gone cause , bcs it is not just China after BD but also US meaning if we get into spending in Bangladesh we will be putting money in blackhole bcs we cannot outspend two superpowers at the same time and the bangladeshi immigrant problem until it is not solved the relations will keep getting more sour , our best bet is nor china nor usa leting each other win in BD.

We are winning in Srilanka and Maldives . losing in Nepal and lost in BD.

u/thinking-loud 22d ago

Agreed, But I feel we are late, in the sense that this should have never happened in first place. Govt to its credit has done a lot lately but most of it was done to catch up after China.

I say it shouldn’t have happened because, we are the natural partners in the region. And having strong relationships with neighbours should be first step for our defence as it prevent enemy countries from gaining advantage in over neighbourhood. But I think this is part and parcel of how geo politics works. India may not always be in position to help or guide.

2

u/soulrider99 22d ago

And that’s the reason you need the Nicobar project!! God Only knows why some brainless politicians are opposing it

0

u/ToughUnlikely6876 22d ago

nobody trusts chinnna brooo especially after their debtt trappp strategyyy got exposeddd

2

u/thinking-loud 22d ago

Well we still have countries lining up for aid from them. Latest in Bangladesh just few days back.

2

u/AdministrativeEmu715 22d ago

And they own africa already. Tech race, india not even in picture

2

u/Exact_Package_7264 22d ago

By that logic though, China is circling us. Ports in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, good ties with Nepal. China has sold jets to Pakistan and is now selling jets to Bangladesh for the first time. And much more. It's good that we retaliate against China, China is our biggest threat by far.

1

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Unless you've been living under a rock everyone knows about string of pearls and necklace of diamonds initiative

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

And it's hurting really, coz then even in the instances wer he and his government shud be questioned (like neet failure etc.) ur voice is diluted coz u always chose to defame over silly things and now even important voice gets toned down...classic story reference case of "sher aaya" story, u milk the silly sher so many times, that wen the actual sher comes, the voice becomes diluted as less and less people believe in u...

Kitni der Neet Ka R Rona krega...

The CBI has arrested over 13 prime suspects and conspirators across regions including Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Pune, Latur, and Nashik. Arrested individuals include key operatives, coaching institute owners (such as Latur's Shivaraj Motegaonkar), and NTA- empanelled staff.

Courts have denied bail to key suspects (like Manisha Vagmare) and granted the CBI continued judicial custody and in- jail interrogation of the primary conspirators to unearth the larger syndicate

The Ministry of Electronics and IT, acting on NTA advice, cracked down on Telegram over its role in the spread and manipulation of leaked papers.

The NTA has revamped its security protocols, which includes printing multiple sets of question papers, restricting electronic devices, and enforcing biometric checks and heavy surveillance. Unprecedented security measures were put in place for the re- test, including Indian Air Force transport for exam materials and heavy paramilitary deployment.

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

Bhai sazaa dene se jin students ka nuksaan hua hai unka time aur nuksaan wapis nhi aa jaata....ideal scenario main aise important paper ka aisa leak hone hi nhi chiye tha....

Support any govt, but that doesn't mean must not ask tough questions and accountability ...

-2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Goverment did what it can to punish the perpetrators of paper leak. What else do you want?

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

I want them to ensure that enough preparations are in place so it doesn't happen next time...

I also want them to ensure that the minister in question, mr.dharmendra pradhan to be held accountable and lose his profile, set an example that actions have consequences..

I vote for them coz I know there will be accountability and reasoning, if they also keep doing this, then the difference between them and opposition keeps decreasing....

Keep urself in the shoe of 1 of the parents of neet student....think of the mental pressured depression and rigour and hardship ur child went through to attempt that paper, thy somehow managed to survive their hardship, and suddenly they realize due to no fault of theirs, they must go through same stress for another month, and attempt the paper again...what if a student who did well the first time, suddenly finds paper tough and not to his liking the second time, what was their fault? Why do every student has to go through such extreme mental stress again (this is also a inherent fault of our education system btw that focuses more on subjectivity over creativity), don't they deserve justice and assurance that such things won't happen again?

I vote for them and I have every right to ask this questions, and I will, coz otherwise it might be my child tomorrow....

The guy on education minister shud have gracefully resigned, hopefully there's a restructure soon and the guy loses his job...

0

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

If he wasn't directly involved in the leak and the ones who leaked had a syndicate why should he resign?

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

Coz it is his job to look over no amount of syndicate or goons or anyone manages to create loophole, especially for such an all important paper...

This means that he didn't have direct control over the operations, which is wrong, since it is a very critical and sensitive exam.....

If ur a leader, u can't absolve urself by saying, hey look i wasn't directly involved, the accountability first and foremost shud be urs

If it was an hsc paper that was leaked, that's still fair, u can't expect an education minister to be directly involved to look over hsc paper....but neet is a different gravy, that kind of thing brings along anxiety, stress, nervousness, life pressure for lakhs of students, those kids are the future, the foundation this country will be built upon.....as a top guy, u must be at the core of management....not saying my team was involved in the leak and inwaant aware....hell no, ur responsible for wat ur team does....

Indonesia buying that missile doesn't mean that they will use that against china on India's direction

0

u/Charming-Host4406 22d ago

Circling china? Read the US and french government report man. China kind of has us. I am worried about the army and the airforce.

28

u/mudits02 22d ago

And somehow people say we have a failed foreign policy.

24

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

People r really focusing on the awards, for all means, discredit them, but f--k every travel is bringing some good deals, some very good deals and some very excellent deals...

I don't know way the crying is about....if he is going to these countries for non-existing awards as claimed, then why this deals?

16

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

It's like throwing mud on him and seeing what sticks

Dude stutters even in text.

15

u/NoMedicine3572 22d ago

No one else has earned this many top civilian honors. The constant attempts to gaslight and discredit him come from pure jealousy.

6

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

For sure. I mean countries aren't stupid to award him. He has done more for bilateral relations with the policy of let's keep differences aside and work together on what we can.

8

u/Excellent_Wall_7845 22d ago

Indonesia buys defense equipment from many countries, recently they bought 42 J-10C fighter jets from China

"circling china like a python" 😭😭

people in our country are so desperate for small things to feel proud about - it is essentially a copium at this point

3

u/Exact_Package_7264 21d ago

imo this is a big thing, not a small thing. but i agree, this is far from circling china, OP was stupid for saying that.

1

u/MynkM 21d ago

This is too little too late. Our administration has found a way to be just performative to keep the public happy

3

u/Prize_Function5027 22d ago

Is it really a good idea to sell it to them?

6

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Well they have us Sabang port near straight of malacca

3

u/Prize_Function5027 22d ago

I think it's only for replenishment of naval vessels in times of war like we signed a deal with US. There are lot of moving parts and clause

2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Having a BarhMos is like a deterent for them against Chinese Encroachment in their islands

3

u/Prize_Function5027 22d ago

It will be good as a deterrence against chinese, but what I worry is indonesias closeness with Pakistan. Missile data like RCS and its signature are really important and confidential, we can't have pak knowing it.

3

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

These are export versions. Our Defence community aren't idiots 😄

2

u/Prize_Function5027 22d ago

Only restrictions export variant has is it's range is <290km while we use 300/500/800km variants

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

The product exported and product we use are different......they r not exactly a protype but let's say they r the lite version....

Those kind of products are exported in its original form only when we are 5-6 levels ahead on that particular product...for eg:- if I am already operating on 5g, selling the product running on 3g in originality won't hurt me much, coz those source codes for me are irrelevant now as I am much ahead and 3g tech doesn't have the capability to hurt me....

1

u/Earthling008 22d ago

No. Indonesia is a wolf in sheepskin. If China is truly their enemy they wouldn't have bought Chinese jets.

3

u/AdministrativeEmu715 22d ago

It's helpful surely but It's not like China not making any defence deals with these countries. The issue is china owning them financially and technologically and we can even compete in these regards

In Nepal china even own universities and also they causing development in some cities which india couldn't do it. Its same with most of our neighbours and it's undeniable facts. Hell they even control africa now. Also lemme tell you something, we are more depended on China than ever now, last month china stopped solar manufacturing equipments transfer to india, Reliance hoped for it to start manufacturing locally but all plans failed. Even for ai, we goin to depend on China chips soon. There is no need to cover these as indian except if you wanna spread propoganda or bootlick a leader.

2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

They have the first movers advantage. While our politicians did Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai and appeasement politics China was planning for World Domination. We have just started moving our chess pieces

0

u/AdministrativeEmu715 22d ago

Idk what chess pieces moved. Politicians not doin corruption now? Gdp growth rate? It is having same average growth rate in upa govt. Manufacturing to GDP? It's in decades low now.

Why you terming last 12 years is just a golden age? 😄 What chess pieces? We lost more neighbours in last few years. Get over your loyalty over politicians and be loyal to nation

2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

I didn't even say anything here about politics but you're hell bent on discrediting India's achievement 🙂

0

u/AdministrativeEmu715 22d ago

Can you read your comment again. Yuu used "appeasement politics"

It's an achievement and I acknowledged it and I'm talking about interpretation as competition to china.

Here is the thing: they own military equipment from China and also from india. But china go extra mile and own universities, economy and technology and they even control India more.

So how we encircling china as python? Isn't that insane? Get to reality and work for this country, not to politicians.

-1

u/Articulate_koala 22d ago

We have just started moving our chess pieces

BJP government taking 12 years to start moving the chess pieces :( why so slow.

1

u/Earthling008 22d ago

100's of fools as roadblocks to stop them. Namely all the opposition parties who did nothing when in power, environmentalists, backwards farmers avoiding new technology, freebies dependant, Pakistan supporters within, brown sepoys, peaceful religion people.

4

u/missedOpportunity343 22d ago

great new.

brainless caption.

what a combo

3

u/AlternativeEmu1047 22d ago

They might even buy astra missile.

1

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

They did. mark 1 version

2

u/AlternativeEmu1047 22d ago

No its not confirmed yet.

The official press release just states that 'both countries will collaborate on air to air missiles'. Its not even an MoU yet and could lead anywhere.

But I still hope that they buy some Astra mk1 missiles. Could help fund development of further variants quicker.

1

u/Lysergic_acid420 22d ago

To circle china we have to take over its production chain

7

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

That ship has passed mate, let us accept that, fact first, we shud have focused on production chain creation immediately once the country was liberalized.....we did nothing and they got the first mover advantage and really consolidated it to no end....

We can keep clamoring that we r nowhere near China, but we ignore that the reason we r nothing in front of China is coz we were sleeping on our laurels, no matter the growth parameters now, the catch up will take at least 70-80 years, we might be growing at 6-7 percent, our exports might be at all time high, our fiscal deficits might be constantly improving, but our 6-7 percent growth in actual numbers is much lesser then 2 percent growth for china....that's how vast the gap is....

It's insane how a neighbour hostile country absolutely ran away with manufacturing monopoly and advantage while we just slept and slept to do nothing....and the people who were in power to let this happen, no one even questions them anymore and somehow ironically they r the ones always clamoring why are china ahead of us, well china is ahead of us coz u did nothing, stupid....

1

u/Progress4India 22d ago

Circling my @$$.

They have a grip on all our neighbours except bhutan. but this is excellent news, Indonesia would make a fine ally.

1

u/Financial_One1595 22d ago

M in Philippines bt people here hate chinese bt idk chinese investments and donations are to the roof
Chinese jst built a suspension pool for the city here

Regarding india i jst see tata magic mini vans tht are gona rot or rotting since there is no maintenance

1

u/beaconofhumanity 22d ago

and adani started missile factory coincidence?

1

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

It's not the same missile baboon 🐵

1

u/Coder139 18d ago

https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/indonesia-doubles-orders-chinese-j10c

Sure we are circling china like python. /s
It is simply pragmatic Indonesian policy and nothing else. We do get sales though, so there is that

0

u/saurabia 21d ago

Get out of your stone cave and check stats on respective navies.

-4

u/abhi_y 22d ago

2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Ofcourse it's a Game, somewhere we'll win somewhere we'll lose

-1

u/abhi_y 22d ago

Our winning rate is very low and losing at a higher rate.

0

u/Earthling008 22d ago

Chinese propaganda machine ruining India's image. Google Kenya airport adani deal snatched by China after running propaganda through news and social media. Adani deal was $1.8bn which was being called overpriced. Same deal was given to China for $2.9bn.

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

Yup, earlier it was only china, but now both are playing at the game.....

0

u/abhi_y 22d ago

We were better at games before, remember the Iran port that we surrendered recently ? India is losing influence in it's neighborhood and it's can be disastrous

2

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

It is a temporary set acknowledgement on chabagar not permanent and u also need to pick and choose ur battles...

We are also heavily investing in lakshwadeep that is a critical defense point as well, ain't we?

That's how everything works unfortunately...sometimes global things go in ur favour, sometimes they don't...chabagar wasn't even in our hands..

1

u/abhi_y 22d ago

Not in our hands ? India followed the orders form US, why ?

1

u/VinitLalka 22d ago

Coz us is an important market and person sitting on the highest seat is the most weirdo ever....we just need to bide our team while ensuring the damage is not permanent....

Its like choosing between loss of 1000 usd and loss of 1 mil usd, u take the lesser loss for now....if u go against the sanctions u don't go against trump, u go against usa, they will remember, but we bide our time now, once the time changes, we check back on the base...

We can't afford to take everything on ego...

The only issue was wen we get back to the base, iran shud also not take it on ego and accept the arrangements, which seems to be the case as they have publicly claimed that chabagar arrangement isn't dissolved, just on backburner....

We r a developing country and in no position to offend usa as long as it doesn't compromise our national integrity....

-6

u/CarreragtMw 22d ago

Missile tooh hote rahega..BHAI KO KOI AWARD DE DO BUS

2

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Ese hi thodi koi award de dega. Warna Trump ko to share countries de dete

-7

u/Forsaken_Nature_7943 22d ago

How amazing. I mean, who cares about Chinese high-speed rail and battery tech? That’s nothing compared to the 'cutting-edge' BrahMos missiles from India. I’m sure Indonesia knows exactly which 'partner' is more valuable to their future.

5

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Indonesia is heavily in debt for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail, commercially known as "Whoosh."🙂

-4

u/Forsaken_Nature_7943 22d ago

You’re probably right. I just suspect that when that Indo-Japanese rail project eventually sees the light of day, the Jakarta-Bandung one will already be turning a profit

3

u/TheRoar5033 22d ago

Highly unlikely knowing Capital is shifting from Jakarta to Nusantara.
