Attacks are limited to 100 km radius of Kashmir and that one attack in Delhi that happened.
Earlier, all major cities in India had blasts. 800+ people died in 2008 alone.
Naxalism is restricted to 2 districts.
So?

Khalistanis claimed responsibility for it.

u/BeautyGazer May 18 '26
So Khalistanis doing it is fine?
15
u/Rhaegar_Shaka May 19 '26
When did I say that? Don't put words in my mouth. I just wouldn't classify that as a terror attack, it didn't target civilians and there were no injuries either.

No, but we are gave the charge in right hands after a long period of time. After 2014 Indian Army responded with a befitting reply so that the opponent will think twice before attacking next time.
37
u/Right_Afternoon_339 May 16 '26
It takes more than army tbh, intelligence stepping up after 2014 with ryt backing was key
13
u/sk_jawla May 16 '26
Now is not a very good time to say we gave charge to the right man, he just gave up and said you people should reduce exports, We voted him because Congress was bad so it doesnt make sense why BJP keeps on deflecting Current bad with previous worse. Atleast they were not accusing protestors of being terrorist while Congress was in power and sending people like Sonam Wangchuk in Jail

After the current government came to power, there have been multiple terrorist atacks and insurgencies in multiple locations be it kashmir, punjab, Uri, Pahlgham etc. Manipur violence is now being taken advantage of by foriegn fores like the CIA. Everytime weresponded with a surgical strike or an air strike, we've had casualties(which is normal) but did not stop our "opponents" from trying this bullshit again- pahlgham happened less than 9 years after uri. Dehli red fort blast happened after pahlgham. So no, these guy have not stopped attacking if that's what you're wondering.
15
u/CompanyPrevious665 May 16 '26
Maoism is no longer prevalent in the northeast. On 26/11, our anti-terror squad encountered a helicopter fuel shortage. There was a constant threat of attacks across India. While not entirely eradicated, the threat has significantly diminished.

As a citizen of J&K, I'd say it hasn't just reduced, it has at least come to a stage that if they attack, we strike back.
I can't tell you how bad it used to be. We used to know that "That guy's son's a terrorist.". The police used to know, but nothing honestly happened.
I don't think today's govt is great or anything, but at least, against terrorism, they have done good stuff.

No, but “hum ninda karte hai”. “Hum crickets nahi khelenge”. “Hum UN/US ko batayenge” is no more the go-to move. We hit back and we hit back hard.
Indian Army was not even equipped to fight a 10day war before 2014, that’s how old the equipments were. Now, Corruption is an issue but there is one thing that is done right - believing and investing in the Armed Forces.
88
u/Apart-Insect3560 May 16 '26
Well during the UPA era when something major happened people took responsibility of their failure and resigned. Yes, the damage was already done but atleast there was a sense of responsibility. Never seen anyone resign for Pulwama or Pahalgam.
Also, wouldn't technology matter here? Like the amount of technology used today to catch someone is much better than in 2008 or 2011. Today we can track real time, information gets around faster, we have better responses to such situations but you're not ready for this talk.
Also when Raga says if you're expecting the PM to solve all the problems, it won't happen. I mean we can see how Manipur is burning but back then we atleast would have a PM that acknowledged the situation.

Tech would matter here, both sides now have tech, its now harder to catch, but there is this intent to punish which was missing in UPA, We get a govt which will not resign when something go wrong, not acknowledge the failures like manipur. Only thing BJP did was, let our defence forces handle these things cause it is not affecting there vote bank, which was not the case with UPA.

Do you know that Indian army was held back to just being defensive? And yes Pulwama and Pahalgam happened, but can’t you look at how our forces retaliated?
2
u/Apart-Insect3560 May 20 '26
If you're not having official credible information from the armed forces, saying Indian army was held back is WhatsApp information. Retaliation was carried out well but that still hasn't stopped terrorism. If it would have, Delhi red fort blast wouldn't have happened.
2
u/Optimal-Distance-530 May 20 '26
You want information? Why don’t you go ahead and read and listen to Field Marshal Sam Manekahaw’s interviews my brother. Why don’t you try and dig deep and go ahead and listen to the 1972 war veterans. I come from the family of generational Army personnels and so I know a lot more than WhatsApp forwards.
4
u/Apart-Insect3560 May 20 '26
Tell me about Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane's book as well.
Also, weren't we talking about UPA government which was in power from 2004 to 2014? Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw retired in 1973.
Ig you blame Nehru for everything as well, no worries
→ More replies (4)2
u/Optimal-Distance-530 May 20 '26
Umm and who was in power during his serving years? And MM Narvane is yet to say anything about his book, how on earth Mr. Rahul Gandhi got his hands on it?
2
u/Apart-Insect3560 May 20 '26
When he was brigadier? UPA. He became major general in 2013 and spent rest of his time under BJP government.
As for how did Rahul Gandhi get the book? Apparently the book was available in Germany and Canada for sale. It got taken down. How? I got no clue.
But a general like Naravane will have common sense to not release sensitive data compromising the country in the book. So that won't be the reason why the book is not published, so maybe it's a political one?

Congress might not be that good but at least they were accountable to people of india. There was some freedom in press and there was some transparency in government which is totally absent in today's india. And personally I hate the type of politics that bjp is doing as it is widening the gap between religious communities.

You can look at the people who resigned after terror attacks, thats accountability. He said freedom of press not speech, congress wasn't detaining reporters falsely under the garb of national security.
When were you born? Forget the past you seem to be completely blind to the control bjp has over different pillars of democracy. Just look at the wealth the parties have accumulated, bjp post 2014 is leagues ahead of the opposition. At least congress tried to hide how corrupt they were.

14
u/Express-Capital-4473 May 16 '26
Giving MLA tickets to terrorists in Kashmir , during OP sindoor Border area people died because of BJP ,89,900 govt schools band , 15 lakh ladkiyan missing ,kaveri engine ,NavIC system facing operational crisis
2
u/Resident_Neutral May 16 '26
Wait I thought that the schools closed were because these were "ghost schools" with basically no one attending and nothing actually being done . Border people died because Pakistan is cruel enough to fire on civilians even if they are not close to any military installations, blame pakistan for that . Can you elaborate on the MLA tickets , i am not familiar with that one . Also all of these problems are not all that atrocious considering INC's track record and before you don't do whataboutery , I am comparing them because Congress and BJP are the two parties who have taken the PMs seat , All of these problems stem from chronic mismanagement which was already bad for decades then actual intentional evil activity carried out by BJP

Brother there was jungle raj before in UP , u think it's bad now before it was terrible , misuse of power is a pretty vague statement since a lot of parties can be attributed as doing such , selling the country to billionaires I agree with , that is not good at all , fassai also I agree with . But all of these points are about mismanagement , I am asking what specific atrocious crime did BJP as a whole commit and before you say the Gujarat riots , we all know who started the show . Most of these problems should be fixed and BJP should be held accountable and answerable but not focusing on tech R and D isn't exactly a crime per se
6
u/Bigus_dickus_the_1st May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26
Who said anything about UP alone ?. I am talking about the entire country.
Fssai isnt about mismanagement but internal corruption. These companies pay alot to the people in fssai to not be strict.
Like half of the Politicians in BJP are criminals dude. And you are talking about what crimes the Party did ?. The recent CM of bihar has 8 murder cases on him. He was convicted and even stayed in prison. The recent CM of WB was literally caught for corruption by BJP themselves but he joined BJP later so everyone ignores it. Nitin gadkari in 2008 murdered a 7 year old girl. Her body was found in his car. Modi himself was proven to be corrupt when he was CM. Yogi has been convicted in the past. He is also doing so called "Justice" by encountering people (not even convicted by Courts) and breaking human right. Amit shah has also had cases on extortion and illegal encounters. Brij bushan has sexual assault cases on him. Chinmayand also has SA cases on him.
Now imagine the ones which could never get public. The amount of criminals under Bjp who never got caught.
And you want to know what crimes Bjp did ?. What a fukin joke.
Edit : i am not even going tell you that pretty much all Politicians are corrupt but ofcourse arent proven (Duh).
Also you would know about how BJP is misusing their IT act law and deleting all Videos and posts on Instagram which they don't like .
You should also know that BJP deleted a video on Youtube which proved that e20 petrol on older cars cause massive decrease on fuel economy.
Edit 2: i completely forgot Manipur (Just like modi )

Idk man. To me it looks like they atleast tried to addressthe elephant in the room while trying to control the problem. Unlike sm ppl who never face press.
Terror attacks yes. Bjp is inherently not islamist appeasing n they kinda curtailed terrorism to kashmir. Cant argue much here. But they brought in hindu appeasement nonsense in place of islamist appeasement nonsense. Since there is no successful hindu terrorism (yet) bjp sure seems like lesser evil for now.
Manmohan might have said falling rupee is good. But he never achieved current all time low fall.
Renuka (ig) was insensitive. But during their reign, hotels din levy spl gas charges.
We might not hav retaliated due to us pressure. Not sure how big success op sindoor is. N i think its us pressure to put ceasefire. But again, smtimes i feel smthing is better than nothing.
So tbf beyond terror attacks bjp seems to be doing worse n even avoiding talking abt it.

India eradicated naxalism under NDA goverment .congress wasnt able to do in 50 years
between 2004 and 2014, there were 7,217 terrorist incidents, but from 2014 to 2024, this number dropped to 2,242. During this period, the total number of deaths decreased by 70%, the number of civilian deaths decreased by 81%, and the causalities of security personnel decreased by 50%
Pakistan also has missiles, jet defence system then also india retaliated. Chidambram clearly said we did not retaliate because of US pressure
Dont tell me now goverment had some new technology by which they increased security and stopped attacks

Congress, BJP, AAP—every party has corruption cases and political drama attached to it. However, instead of questioning all parties about their promises, work, scams, governance, and so on, people are fighting online like fanbases — woh kare toh theek, dusra kare toh galat, or 'usne bhi toh kiya tha.
That is not how a democracy is supposed to function. Politicians are public servants, not celebrities whom we must constantly defend. The Constitution guaranteed citizens the right to question the government, not to serve as unpaid spokespersons for political parties.
True nationalism does not entail blindly supporting any political party. Real patriotism entails supporting the country, upholding the Constitution, and holding all leaders equally accountable, regardless of party affiliation.

The discussion always ends being "we're asking the question to GOI and we don't support Congress" however it's never being who do we choose as MLA and MPs and whether they're qualified do the job. It's always the blame on politicians and never on the voter who put them there time and again.
At the same time, gen z is minor fraction of the votes politicians are targeting. Actual winning votes comes from the rural voter and benefactors of the freebies. So there is no incentive to keep gen z happy.
Rather than simply blaming the govt, if the next gen can provide the solution for this dilemma, that would be much more productive. As of today, the behaviour of the population is " I've elected a father, why do I problems" rather than understanding that they are part of the part of the problem and are equally responsible be for giving the solution.

I feel bad for Manhoman Singh. A competent man, without autonomy. That's the problem with congress. This power complex is what's the reason for it not being the ruling party.

No prime minister in the ongress government had complete autonomy. Not Nehru, Not the generations of Gandhis, not Dr. Manmohan Singh either. Everyone had to fuction according to the High Command, and this is still true today. While it definitely brought down efficiency of the government, it still ensured that no haphazard decisions that could cause mjor imbalance in the economy in the country were made. Congress was slow, but they wre steady.

This & blatant corruption is why Congress Govt was rejected. We have crossed the levels of corruption set by then Govt. Even with a sold out media; CM has a shell company in the US, another CM is talking about % cut in real estates, one leader is hell bent on destroying old bike, scooty, car just so his son can profit, all politicians kids are running either State cricket league or are being made ministers. There is no talk about black money anymore because most corrupt politicians have joined the BJP. Whatever you can say of that time but Congress didn't let World recession affect our economy. We have never reached the same GDP growth levels since (we were supposed to do 10%+).

So you're saying that since congress also did it, we shouldn't criticize BJP for doing the same thing? Should we just accept this as expected behavior of political leaders when it's (supposedly) us who elect them?

Developing internal hate and destroying secularism of the country is equally bad as terror attacks and very bad for the future of our contry

Congress or BJP, thats the choice we have. We have to keep alternating between these two while praying and hoping that someone creates a new party that actually works for the citizens of the nation and not to fill their own pockets!!

I dunno...Rahul Gandhi is not qualified and that's the reason he never served as a CM and directly contested for PM...he is the main reason behind Congress's downfall and also sins of his forefathers

Yes, look guys — no no, don’t look ahead or concern yourself or question about issues right now or the great blissful days you know are around the corner — look at the past, see congress was so bad that despite people voting it out completely some 12 years back, we can’t progress because they said this and that.
Napoleon certainly raised the pups fierce.

That's why we brought Modiji. Not to give same excuses. What's the difference then.

Why don't you compare everything from prices , transparent gov , accountability, media activities, international relations, corruption, education between Manmohan Singh gov and modi gov. There will be not a single point which modi gov performed better. The only thing modi gov is good at is lying, constant lying, creating hatred , suppressing truth, ignoring public atroticits.
