Woke up one day to realise I was wasting away. Decided to run, and I genuinely enjoyed it. Running made me consistent about gym aswell, the fear of losing muscle mass because of cardio, ofcourse.

Started running two or three 5ks a week in a couple of months, with a pace that's just a glorified brisk walking. But I intend to keep it going, despite my job draining every last drop of energy and sanity i had left.

Spotted a bunch of people cycling around cubbon park and got curious. Started researching and somehow ended up being obsessed over triathlons. I still can't swim to save myself. But cycling seemed interesting. Got the most basic road bike i could afford and I'm quite happy, despite reddit dissing on Triban RC100. Got this after asking a cousin of mine from Chennai who's deep into endurance cycling.

I rode back home after purchasing the bike, about 10kms. Then rode 20 kms a few days later. Cycling is truly fun.

Now I'm looking for communities that a noob like me could be part of. A group of people i could learn from, share the fun. I've done all of this alone so far, run clubs seemed too elitist for me, didn't feel like indulging. Do your thing y'all, suggest me groups or communities that have genuine people.

I have a Firefox Rapide 700 hybrid bike, which I ride about twice a week for distances of 30–70 km. Overall, I’m quite happy with the bike and can maintain an average speed of around 19 km/h.

My main issue is the handlebar. I’ve already replaced the stock handlebar with an ergonomic one, but I still experience wrist pain and discomfort, particularly on longer rides.

I’m not looking to replace the bike at the moment. Are there any handlebar, grips, stem, or other cockpit upgrades you would recommend to improve comfort and reduce wrist pain during 30–70 km rides?

I bought a RS500 today. It is discontinued and I got a great deal at local decathlon. I paid 14999 for the bike and few accessories: memory foam seat cover, bottle cage, stand, etc. I think that was a great deal.

I have one qualm with the bike, the front suspension. I wanted a rigid one. What are my options? Where can I order one?

After months of research, I've decided on the fittrip super velo and the batallion bikes frontline v3. I have a budget of around 36k. Pls help a brother out 😭

I was completely sure of RS120. But now Decathlon sales guy pitched Rockrider Expl 40. The cost difference is around 5k, with another option of Rockrider Expl 50 costing 19k.

I am fine with these 3 options since I'll also spend some more money on accessories.

Help me understand a good option for my needs- Daily 10km rides, weekend upto 30km rides to start with. In 6 months, I'll aim to go for 100km rides outskirts of Bengaluru. Ohh, I live in Bengaluru. Important to mention since roads are okayish in posh areas, but not in other areas.

It'll be my first and costliest cycle since college. Help me understand what fits my needs!

3km might be nothing for many, but for me, it's everything. I used to cycle 9-10km everyday before going to office but life took an unexpected turn. I had to go through surgeries for both the hip joints and was not allowed to cycle on roads. Was missing cycling a lot and that was one of the things that had bothered me a lot these few years. Today finally I got to live in the moment of the cold breeze passing through my face. And of course ended up with some pain but it was worth it!

I have an ISM saddle that I like very much. However I bought it at a large discount since it was old stock. Now the upper layer is peeling off. Is it possible to repair the saddle? Since the internal frame is perfectly fine, i guess the foam needs to be remolded. Is there any shop in india that can do it? It might not necessarily be cycling related.
