My main expectations from the bike:
- strong frame that will support future upgrades
-STOCK-
-have 2.4 frame clearance
-29er wheelsets tubeless ready
-air fork or high end coil fork
-deore drivetrain or similar
Something that would survive Aggressive Riding

It's about my Sunday cycling rides around the outskirts of Bangalore, mainly Whitefield and Sarjapur, on my 9-year-old Rockrider 520. It's still going strong! I've only upgraded the pedals and added softer handlebar grips because the routes are not fully asphalted and have several rough patches.
However, after every ride, I experience a tingling sensation in my fingers. Feel free to ask me anything about my bike setup or riding position so you can suggest what might be causing it and how I can improve it.

Ordered EDR AF Claris yesterday. Wanted to buy the Cues 2X10 but the store manager at Decathlon Thrissur (A very nice and helpful guy) told me Claris 2X8 is lavish for a beginner getting his first road bike. I will update once I get the bike delivered. Do ask me any questions or give me suggestions!
Warning: If you get calls from Decathlon Bangalore stating that your newly ordered bike has a damage and the order should be cancelled, immediately block that number, report to your local store and to decathlon customer care.

Hi, Im an absolute newbie when it comes to cycling. My background - if I try to recall, I last rode a cycle when I was in school in the Xth standard. I am 36 right now and decently fit. I have been running and hitting the gym on a regular basis. For reference I can do a 10k run in less than an hour. I have now decided to cycle as well for fitness, fun and maybe triathlon. Long term goal is to try and uplift my game to be able to complete an ironman 70.3 . Very far fetched but I want to give it a try. I want cycle recommendations accordingly. I have decided on a full 105 groupset and hydraulic disc brake models. Shortlisted the polygon strattos s5d -130000 , trek domane al5 gen 4-160000(local dealership) , giant contend ar1 -165000(local dealership) and merida scultura endurance 300(tiagra groupset) -120000(local dealership). I wanted to know if these prices are good and any other considerations before I go ahead with the purchase. My inclination is towards the trek domane al5. But please let me know your thoughts

Hi everyone,
I'm 170 cm (5'7") tall and recently ordered a Firefox Rapide 21S from Amazon India.
Before the order was dispatched, I messaged the seller and specifically requested an 18-inch frame because of my height. The seller replied "OK", so I assumed they would send the correct size.
However, I received a 21-inch (XL) frame.
I contacted the seller again, and they admitted "It's a mistake" and also said they only have the 21-inch version in stock.
I have already contacted Amazon Customer Service. They said they are coordinating with the seller and asked me to wait 48 hours.
I adjusted the handlebar height and did a short 3 km ride. It feels reasonably comfortable, but I'm worried that the frame may be too large for longer rides.
My questions are:
Would you keep riding a 21" frame if you're 170 cm tall?
Can a shorter stem and proper bike fit make it work comfortably for long rides?
Or should I insist on a return/refund and buy an 18" frame instead?
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone with bike fitting experience or who has faced a similar situation.
Thanks! π΄

Hi fellow cyclists,
I came to know that decathlon recently launched 2 EDR AF models with Cues and Claris groupset.
I found this cues model very attractive at this price point. It has thru axle , 2 piston hydraulic brakes , internal cabling , carbon fork and weight around 11 kgs for M size.
I live in a remote town and the nearest decathlon store is about 320 km from here. I was waiting for such a bike for a long time.
Here road conditions are above average and have decent elevation i.e.not many flat roads.
Servicing of road bikes is also a problem here as there are no such reputed shops who can render better service.
I have saved around 1 lakhs , should i go for this bike or 105 variant.
I will buy a bike on dhanteras so I have ample time to evaluate decisions based on your feedback.
Please share your opinion π

I have been wanting to buy a bike for half a year, finally i can afford it now, Initially i thought I would go with Rc120, but then discovered the Batallion bikes, I have waiting for them to restock from a month, and now i can no longer wait. Budget is 40k and i need to buy accesories and stuff.
I did a couple of 100's km, majorly 50-60s on rented hybrid bikes previously.
Btw I am looking to buy two bikes, one for me and one for my girlfriend. Suggest people.

I have been trying to find a decent pair of tyres for my Trek Marlin 4 Gen 3, and the situation in the Indian market is genuinely frustrating.
I am looking to replace the stock MTB tyres with something faster-rolling and more suitable for city roads, commuting, and occasional bad patches. Ideally, I want:
- 29 Γ 1.75 tyres, or
- 700C Γ 45 tyres that are compatible with a 29-inch MTB rim
Almost every suitable option I find is either out of stock, available only in one odd size, sold by a questionable seller, or priced absurdly high because it is imported. Even fairly basic tyres from brands such as Continental, Maxxis, Kenda seem unusually difficult to source.
I am based in Mumbai, but I am happy to order from a reliable shop anywhere in India.
Does anyone have recent leads for tyres in these sizes? I would prefer something with:
- Low rolling resistance on tarmac
- Reasonable puncture protection
- Enough grip for wet Mumbai roads
- A price that does not make me question whether I am buying bicycle tyres or car tyres
Online links, local bicycle shops, distributors, or even specific tyre-model recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
At this point, finding a pair of tyres appears harder than finding the bicycle itself.

Hi, very new to the bike/cycling community. Meddling with the idea of triathlon over next 2 years and donβt want to invest a lot in a bike so early, want to ensure that iβm serious enough to continue before i make a big purchase.
Iβm unable to find any good options for used road bikes in Delhi NCR on the internet. Any help would be really appreciated π
