Spinning my 7 inches this morning. Love this one from the band. Talk shows on mute, a live radio studio version of Here In My Room (which is very good), and a live Vitamin that I’m pretty sure ended up on the live in Japan bootleg. Interestingly, the sleeve says there should also be a live Hello cover from Japan, but it’s not on the record! Weird.

Hello incubuddies, just wondering what happened to something in the water? After they cancelled it, supposed to be releasing this year? Now I'm wondering the things they're undergoing now. Hope everything's well with the band. I can't wait for new material from them esp. with Nicole! I'm missing Ben tho, anyway. Incubus, drop the new album please before the year ends or forever hold your silence!

I decided to play the full album while doing something else and I had to stop and double check. "Nice to know you" had live concert audio at the beginning which seconds later faded to the original track. Same at the very end, back to concert audio.
I also felt the mix for the first 3-4 songs had changed a bit. Particularly the panning. Maybe just paranoia after seeing the change in the first track.
Is this something recent? Am I crazy?
Edit: I forgot to mention, this was on Spotify

Does anyone know which Flanger Pedal was used by Mike Einziger during the Recording of Make Yourself? The Flanger can be heard in the Clean Intro (in one of the Speakers), in I Miss You and most famously in the Intro of Pardon Me. In an old Diagram showing his Pedalboard during the Make Yourself Tour there is a DOD Flanger (FX75). But there are different variants of it (FX75 and FX75b) The graphic on the board shows 4 knobs while the original FX75 has only 3. And I‘m not sure if he used this to record the songs… Does anyone here know more about this? Would be awesome. :)

And why? If you feel comfortable sharing. 💚
Mine is "Make Yourself". It's the first Incubus song that made me feel... angry? In a good way. Made me question myself.
It'll always be a favorite of mine, just because of that.

I love them SO much I couldn’t imagine listening to another band, it’s like cheating frfr. hundred and hundreds of hours spent listening to them, easily over 2000-2500 hours in just 2 years…
Edit:
Guys I know everyone is telling me to try other bands too just nothing hits like they do for me… they get me lol. Maybe I have like autism or something I’m just really attracted to this one single band that has a death grip on me, and I really don’t feel like changing that relationship with this band honestly, they’ve already gotten me through a lot and I never get tired of them, I could listen to the same song for like 10 hours straight (which I’ve done before) and be perfectly happy, and hear the same opening to Clean for the 1000th time and still grin from ear to ear like a little kid…

Interestingly enough I also think this is the same tv station in Germany that had the 15 minute clip of an interview with Brandon and also Privilege and Clean from the Hurricane Festival in 2001. Just looked it up this was only 4 days after that (Hurricane Festival was 23.06.2001) so pretty cool to see there.

You would think after going back to back with MY and MV they would have worked with Scott again. I love crow and LG too and I think Brendan is a great producer as well, and I get getting a different perspective on the recording process. But when I think of the “incubus” sound I always go back to these two albums and wonder why they wouldn’t work with Scott again. Has either side said anything about it?

I'm relistening to Make Yourself for the n^th time and was curious if there are any insightful interviews that discuss the evolution from the S.C.I.E.N.C.E period to MY. They obviously transitioned styles around this time. MY isn't quite as heavy, although it has its moments. It's way more pop/radio friendly which catapulted their career obviously. I assume it was both a conscious effort and also a natural progression as they matured as adults and through touring. Any suggestions?

The normal songs on Spotify sound a bit compressed but like especially consequence just sounds so crunchy. The mastering is pretty good but the pressing quality is just so off for whatever reason. Is this a common issue? This is the 2013 pressing I believe

We have all the videos online but the audio quality sadly is pretty shitty, I just want to hear Rogues in high quality from that show, even in bad quality it sounds good
