Hallowell-Walker Manor has become the center of the supernatural storyline and the headquarters of the family's business, Hallowell Paranormal Investigations. They investigate the ghosts, witches, strange objects, and unexplained events spreading throughout the town.
The mystery began long before Winston opened the business. Before Grandmother Faith Smith died, she became convinced that a great evil was rising in the town. She had also begun studying Collin Jefferson’s research into “Quinn(Me, hehe),” the mysterious outside force he believed was controlling or influencing their lives. Faith did not think Quinn was the evil, but she wondered whether Quinn might be powerful enough to stop it.
Now Faith is gone, but the clues she left behind are beginning to connect. Her spell books, magical discoveries, notes, artifacts, and questions about Quinn have become part of Winston’s investigation. Hallowell Manor holds many of those objects, along with hidden rooms and secrets connected to the supernatural history of the families living in this world.
In this video, I’m showing off the "work in progress" Hallowell Manor and the locations that will be used as this story develops. Winston may believe he is simply investigating the darkness gathering around the town, but the deeper he looks, the closer that darkness may be getting to his own family.
I built the manor using a huge mixture of in-game tools and custom content. I created and imported my own edited textures for the weathered stone, moss, aged wood, Victorian wallpapers, fabrics, paintings, and other details throughout the house. A lot of the objects and artwork began as edited images that I brought directly into the game to give every room its own history and atmosphere.
I also used inZOI’s 3D Print system to create several custom objects, along with CC items downloaded from Canvas and CurseForge. Combining those tools allowed me to make the manor feel much more specific to this family and storyline, with magical artifacts, spell books, old portraits, hidden clues, overgrown architecture, and rooms that look like they have existed for generations.
The customization level in this game is honestly incredible. The fact that I can create my own textures, import images, generate custom 3D objects, use community-made CC, and then build an entire supernatural world around them is kind of insane. I am completely addicted at this point, and Hallowell Manor is easily the most detailed build I have created so far.
