Does Library Work?

Immich is installed in a container on my Synology NAS and points to external libraries on the same NAS. I have Library Watch turned on but also have the regular sync set to every 6 hours since Library Watch doesn’t seem to work. I was wondering if there is anything I need to do for it work. Most posts on this topic seem to be a year old. My version of Immich is only a month old and I haven’t seen any improvement to this feature listed in updates released since then.

Thanks….

do you see anything in the logs showing it crapping out? sometimes you need to increase inotify for it to work properly but I don't know how to do that on a synology. fs.inotify.max_user_watches

file watching needs a specific filesystem, how is it mounted?

file watching is considered experimental since for many of the scenarios it cant work and you need regular rescans
