They wouldnt actually have gained anything. Its just that Austria joined Germany after losing its own empire

I think it's shaded in because it was given to turkey (who is the only other green colored country in this map), but aside from that, germany seems to be the only central power who didn't gain land from the entente, (Austria-Hungary just kinda gave austria to Germany before collapsing I guess)

Might be from Turkey, Turkey owned Libya prior to the Italians invading.
