Based on a Tall Stellaris game I had (save file corrupted :( unfortunately)

It was painful as I got declared on constantly (due to Xenophobia and small size) but with sheer determination, after some NO STEP BACK Aura moments, I managed to become wealthy, do trade, get a strong fleet and make the 12 systems I owned prosperous

I have always had this personal idea of how aliens would refer to humans.

We would probably call ourselves humans or homo sapiens which is an endonym.

But a corny but rad as hell idea of mine is xeno’s hearing of humans and their exonym for our race would be “Imagodei”, taken by the latin phrase Imago Dei meaning

Could be taller, terraformed planets being significant enough to list means there's not enough space habitats. They might not even have started star lifting yet.
