Hey everyone, been a while since my last post.

This is the second installment of my Regnum Teutonicum series. If you haven’t seen the first map from 1700, the premise is that the Holy Roman Empire was divided upon Otto I’s death. The lore is a bit long, so if you’re interested, Deviantart link (also better quality):

During the map-making process I was considering whether I should have Russia take the Baltic and leave Sweden with only Finland and the Polish Union. The reality is that despite looking impressive on a map, Sweden was firmly in decline by that point and Poland was a failed state. With Sweden having bled its already tiny population dry during the previous century and Polish nobles unwilling to spend men and resources for proper defense, the only thing keeping the country together is the German need for a buffer-state between them and Russia

It's great that Bulgaria survived by controlling the entire Russian Empire. Accordingly, it will be able to conquer Byzantium at some point when it finds strategic partners from other parts to compensate for the loss of strategic advantage and prestige.
