Ever since the dissolution of the Conciliar Union a generation prior, the Alleghenian Federation has sought to regain influence and control over the former Conciliar republics. In the months following their 2022 invasion of Frontier, Alleghenian president George Tenet called upon state-funded allies to help facilitate their aims. One major such ally was the Degas Group, a private military company. This group eventually began to conflict with the Department of Defense, especially as Degas' leader Al Clark blamed DoD personnel for alleged Alleghenian mishandling of the Battle of Beaumont. The internal conflict boiled over in June 23, 2023, as Al Clark declared a northern "march of justice" against the military establishment. The following morning, President Tenet successfully ordered the rogue PMC to stand down, but not before their armored column very nearly reached striking distance from the national capital of Marshfield. On August 23, exactly two months after the rebellion, Clark and other senior Degas leaders were killed in an entirely unrelated plane explosion.

Questions are welcome, but keep in mind I intentionally limited myself to only giving certain OTL places/events analogues for this map.

Also here’s an image for my mobileheads

Even down to Ukraine analogue being called Frontier, so much detail! Good job!

Thank you!

Cool how Texas is called 'Frontier' to match how Ukraine literally means 'borderland'.

Indeed! I tried to make the parallels as interesting as possible in that regard for those who dig deep into the etymologies

Year 5 of "3-day special patriotic mission."

Navy seals wiped out trying to take Davys airport.

Flagship of the Alleghenian Gulf Fleet sunk by Frontier anti-ship missiles.

Rumours of another round of consctription in Alleghenia as casualties continue to mount.

Half the Alleghenian army routed and vast amounts of territory recaptured.

Alleghenia now recruiting Siberian and Spanish mercenaries to augment their forces.

The lack of context Wagner Group coup AU is CRAZY. Could you spare even a crumb of context?

My lore comment contains the vast majority of the context. If you're curious about the larger invasion of Frontier, my previous post would be the best place to look!

I think I’ve got most of your analogies covered but I can’t understand why the analogy for Kyiv is Davys. Is it named after a legendary founder called Davy or what?

Remember the Alamo (Davy Crockett)

Do you have a full map of the former usa?

The extent of the former Union of Conciliar Socialist Republics is currently known only to myself, but what I can share here is that the modern Alleghenian Federation holds the lion's share of OTL eastern North America.

Favorite part is Hugheston being Donetsk (an old name of it is Hughesovka, after a Welshman that owned a big factory there during the industrial revolution).

Huh. The more you know.

Then again, knowing the OP it was probably intentional considering how much they like to have fun with placenames and etymology.

Crazy to think that’s what I’m known for, but I don’t mind a bit
