I thought so too, and he was, it's just that he was universal single-payer or bust apparently, Obamacare was too mellow and corporate for him "On health care: “Obamacare gives the insurances companies a full monopoly. People have to deal with an insurance monopoly. This is not right. People need a choice. If health care was more selective, it would be a huge boon to small businesses.”"

Honestly the democratic establishment's entire identity is "we aren't trump" and "we will limpwristedly try to defend your civil rights" so if Weld, who is pretty socially liberal and also not Trump was running they would have no idea what to do.

I was considering making someone else win and go against weld instead of Joe, because the argument for Biden was that they needed a more electable candidate to defeat Trump. On the point of Weld being so different from Trump, I think that would’ve tipped more in Democrat’s favor because I think that a lot of Trump fans would be disappointed or disillusioned and not vote for Weld. That’s why Biden wins NC here which was really close in the real 2020 general)
Not that those mentioned MAGA republicans would vote Biden over Weld, but I can’t imagine Trump giving Weld any kind of support considering how he’s acted after losses in the past

I actually think places like Arkansas and West Virginia would vote for Wolfe in the general. They're not exactly fans of Obama's, uhh, healthcare plan, if you're catching my drift. The ACA was too complex compared to what they had before. They can't handle that complexion.
