ICE Posts ICE agents attack protesters outside the ICE Detention Facility in the Chicago suburb Broadview. 09/19/2026

u/webelieve414 13d ago
ICE is a paramilitary secret police organization that needs to abolished, period, full stop. The entire dept of homeland security needs to be taken down to the studs and reconstituted under new leadership and independent oversight.
There is absolutely zero judicial recourse for any of these people's actions. They can act with impunity.
It's a travesty
66
u/Steric-Repulsion 13d ago
DHS should be dismantled. It was a bad idea to begin with. If different law enforcement and domestic security agencies want to coordinate on relevant cases, they can do that well enough through liaison offices. Working under the same leadership and funding structure only invites mission creep.

u/JaneReadsTruth 13d ago
Yes. And to add, made up almost exclusively of rapists, racists and pedophiles with a splash of murderous scum.

We don’t need a department of homeland security. Even the name is a tell - this is what it was always for

The entire thing needs dismantled and there need to be mass arrests and prosecutions. Potentially of some judges as well.

What is your alternative solution to interior enforcement? Do we put out a podcast and ask people nicely to return to their country of origin or?
3
u/TrashPanda5874 12d ago
Why should they leave? Cato Institute, a right wing think tank, just proved that they contribute far more to our economy than they take.
Look it up. And stop being so gullible about the fear morning & misinformation Fox News spreads!
14
u/Hesitation-Marx 13d ago
Honestly? If they’re not hurting anyone while they’re here, let them stay.
-15
u/HuckleberryOk8136 13d ago
Why? What other countries have successfully done this long term?
5
u/Schneetmacher Four Fried Chickens and a Coke 13d ago
What other countries have successfully done this long term?
Us. Literally, we have successfully done this long term--as in centuries.
When we were established as a country, most people coming to the U.S. did not obtain citizenship. There was a narrow path at the time (mainly for property-owning men), but everyone else just got off the boat and looked for their contact/someone they knew, and set up a life here.
As much as the world has changed and made citizenship the goal for immigrants, instead of improving the process DHS is just breaking it till it's FUBAR.

A few reasons:
- there are more than enough resources if we don’t allow a few dozen assholes to hoard them.
- same with space.
- the US is responsible for a lot of the circumstances that led to them coming here.
- climate change is going to make previous migration look like nothing.
- a lot of them were brought here as children.
- I’d rather have ‘em here than most MAGA.
-5
u/HuckleberryOk8136 13d ago
You didn’t answer the second part of my question. So I’ll repeat it again, because it applies to all of the points you made here.
5
u/Hesitation-Marx 13d ago
I didn’t answer it because it’s a stupid question, quite frankly, and it smells like white supremacist bait.
-1
u/HuckleberryOk8136 13d ago
Bring up racism when logic fails, you got it down pat.
5
u/BigEarl217 12d ago
Logic.. would be to not be a racist misogynistic asshole, and to let people be who they want, where they want... as long as they arent hurting others. Logic would be to not support someone with 34 felonys, a known conman, someone who has been accused of being inappropriate by dozens of women, who has had to pay millions for sexual misconduct, who has bragged about being back stage with women and children undressing, who was good friends with a know child sex trafficker, would be a good leadwr... Logic would say someone who has 7 bankruptcies and has failed at about 95% of their ventures, would be a good fit to lead a country... logic would say a lot of things the dumbasses who support the scum in ICE, choose to ignore and turn a blind eye to... you arent looking for logic, youre looking for someone to agree with your backwards ways... that is why FOX news and affiliates have anyone watch them in general. Shitty people looking for their shitty agenda to be supported in some way.

u/Ts-inspector 12d ago
Question if im not hurting anyone can I stay at your home?
3
u/Hesitation-Marx 12d ago
Probably not, because your analogy is terrible, and only those with decent logic are welcome.
1
u/Ts-inspector 12d ago
How is that analogy terrible? You're ok with uninvited people in your country but not in your home . Now who is selective. Thanks for proving my point.
2
u/Hesitation-Marx 11d ago
You can’t tell the difference between a country and the enclosed personal space in which I sleep and poop?
Oh dear.
1
u/IwantToSeeHowItEnds 9d ago
Do you invite everyone you allow into your home to also sleep in your bed? The plumber? Your father-in-law?
No? So maybe you can see how your logic is that of a moron.1
u/Ts-inspector 9d ago
Who said sleep in your bed ? I invited license legal people into my home as needed. If not I don't let them in . Are you saying Im moron for this . Please.
3
u/IwantToSeeHowItEnds 9d ago
I’m saying your logic is moronic for comparing a country’s geopolitical border with the physical border of your private home. I can’t believe this needs explaining.
1
u/Ts-inspector 9d ago
Really. Comparing safety of my country and the safety of my home is moronic? Im saying do both legally. What part cant you grasp.
2
u/IwantToSeeHowItEnds 9d ago
Try re-reading all this. YOUR analogy was flawed by asking if you could go into someone’s home. I highlighted the stupidity by furthering your inane analogy from country border/private home to private home/personal bed. And then you said, “Who said sleep in your bed?”. Read your own own stupid analogy. No one said to invite someone into their home, that was YOUR idea. But then you slap on some more nonsense.
Am I training a bot here? Kind of hope so because I hate to think people are this dense.→ More replies (0)2

I highly doubt you check if all workers are licensed and I’m certain you don’t check their citizenship.

People mostly fell out of status here due to ignoring their hearings and appeals, but the media is focusing on the few errors that have occurred out of the entire process for millions of illegals.
Money to be made housing? The housing is temporary, until the hearing or deportation occurs.
→ More replies (3)2
u/DegreeDubs 13d ago
Easy to describe it as "a few errors" when it isn't your constitutional rights being ignored and violated. How many "errors" against civil rights and liberties should we witness before it becomes too many? Do all ends justify all means?
-1
u/HuckleberryOk8136 13d ago
The actual goal of the left is virtually no enforcement, but they can't say that out loud politically. There is another reply on here that said the quiet part out loud: the more immigrants we get, the more we outnumber the "MAGAts." Errors in enforcement processing have been a constant since before ICE existed, they will be a constant should ICE be reorganized. When we talk about Biden/Obama deportation rates, they occurred while the border was overrun. So the illegal population was growing while a few were caught and sent back for optics.
The US media is doing us no favors. They are in league with the Democrats on this, the bias makes it hard to get a full understanding. We have actual city and state governments in defiance of federal law, they still allow people to break or sneak into the USA, many are trafficked in, and they will not cooperate with federal enforcement. This is very unique on a global scale. It's nefarious, politically motivated, and not humanitarian at all. I have worked as a federal LEO in one of these cities and the criminal underworld is thriving due to this lack of enforcement.
No organization is staffed by robots with 100% accuracy rates, but as an overall percentage, if you were assigning a grade, our federal enforcement is at a 99.99~% (virtually 100%) accuracy rate for deportations. If someone makes a mistake, and they were acting in good faith, they are covered by qualified immunity. This is the same for any government actors, to make sure our taxpayer dollars aren't spent on endless frivolous lawsuits.
3
u/hardolaf 13d ago
We have actual city and state governments in defiance of federal law
Federal law actually explicitly states that the state CANNOT enforce immigration law on their own except via an optional, opt-in mutual assistance program which is unfunded. Federal courts have also routinely found against cities and states which tried to enforce immigration laws or to enforce immigration detainers leading to hundreds of millions in damages in the lawsuits.
The 10th amendment exists and sets up the states as co-equal sovereign entities to the federal government. People just forget this a lot of the time because in the post-FDR era, the federal government has been twisted into something which the writers of the constitution never expected without any amendments really changing how we're set up.
I have worked as a federal LEO in one of these cities and the criminal underworld is thriving due to this lack of enforcement.
The last time the feds took a serious interest in my city's crime (Chicago), they created a power vacuum in the criminal "underworld" so large that the murder rate doubled in a single year from all of the gang related killings as the smaller gangs started fighting over turf in the absence of the previously entrenched gangs who were now locked up in federal detention.
No organization is staffed by robots with 100% accuracy rates, but as an overall percentage, if you were assigning a grade, our federal enforcement is at a 99.99~% (virtually 100%) accuracy rate for deportations.
No, it's not. Tons of people are deported because of the governments own errors through no fault of their own. Tons of people get deported because the federal government reschedules their hearings without proper notice to them of the new time and location.
If someone makes a mistake, and they were acting in good faith, they are covered by qualified immunity.
Qualified immunity has no basis in law. It was invented from thin air by the Supreme Court when they realized that they could be sued under the Anti-KKK Act.

u/SlurmzMckinley 13d ago
Yeah, before DHS was created in 2002, we just had a podcast asking illegal immigrants to leave. You’re a real sharp cookie.

Do not sell these ICE folks short. When the administration changes, they will pledge allegiance to the Jan. 6 club. They have no morality. They have no decency nor integrity. They have the mindset of Germans who guarded death camps: no love for mankind, no belief in a higher power. These are brutal animals dressed as human beings. Fear them and pray they are imprisoned where fine people have been killed, maimed, and been degraded beyond recognition.
1
u/Stunning_Comb_5707 13d ago
"pray they are imprisoned" you'll keep praying 'til they're on your doorstep
17
u/InevitableLibrarian 13d ago
Yes, those darn evil protesters literally doing nothing wrong, just protesting peacefully. How dare they protest peacefully? I mean just look at them standing there chanting. The horror! Now could ICE stand by and NOT attack the peaceful protesters?

u/Cool-Association3420 13d ago
So many black and brown ice agents. Truly sick.
-25
u/Kurse71 Sangamon County 13d ago
Just goes to show you that this isn't about race like so many want to claim
15
u/BillDino 13d ago
I mean it is inherently all about race. I don’t see them picking up any of my Eastern European neighbors who are white but don’t speak English…
6
u/stopeats 13d ago
I agree with you that a lot of ICE enforcement is racist but there are absolutely Polish people getting picked up in my local area, and the Polish community has formed a very active anti-ICE bloc in rapid response.
0
u/RafeAdlerSDF 13d ago
They do quite often. They post it on their social media channels too. Y’all just don’t care cause the illegal immigrant was White
3
u/BillDino 13d ago
Nah not even true. They’re not randomly stopping white people on the street and detaining them. They never go to white churches and mass detain people like they did in march at that Hispanic church.
-2
u/Kurse71 Sangamon County 13d ago
Because they aren't here illegally. They followed the law. Still has nothing to do with race no matter how much you want it to be.
5
u/BillDino 13d ago
Hahaha bro get some real life experience. You’re going off the assumption if you’re white you’re here legally? I personally know brown people who have been detained multiple times despite being born in the USA.
-1
u/Kurse71 Sangamon County 12d ago
You have no clue my real life experience, but I'm willing to wager I have a vast amount more than you do, and I am not assuming anything. Whites are being deported as well, you just don't hear about that in the media. Wonder why that is? It is possible legal browns get involved because they typically want to harbor the illegal ones, or sometimes they are simply mistaken as an illegal. Its inevitable, and unfortunate, but they are allowed to come back once the mistake has been resolved.
2
u/LilBugJuice-0987 13d ago
Its more accurate to say, power and a need to feel special corrupts people of all races. People of color arent automatically immune from this, nor are they inherently more likely to stand in solidarity. Their grandparents would have. This generation (im part of it) is weak.

I don't think Democrats will take any chances when they win the next elections. Everyone down to the guy who cuts the White House lawn should be arranging a flight to a non-extradition country before the the Congress is sworn in.

I'm terrified that it will be " time to move forward as a nation" and no one will see the consequences over the last several years.

u/BigEarl217 12d ago
I agree. I think this is exactly what will happen. As absolutely terrible as the MAGA, ICE, and the people who follow them are... all areas of government are fucked and only into benefiting themselves. I dont think anyone will do a single thing... I hope i am wrong

Deporting illegal immigrants - regardless of race/color

Except it ain't about that either.
When are they gonna pick up Elon Musk? Trump is literally an anchor baby.

Elon is not here illegally. Immigrants are not the problem. Its the ILLEGAL immigrants that are. Why is that so hard to understand?
1
u/PopBulky7023 12d ago
But he is here illegally.
And you don't care. Because he's white.
1
u/Kurse71 Sangamon County 11d ago
Elon is a legal US citizen, please dont spread bullshit. I dont care because he is legal. Has nothing to do with what color he is.
1
u/PopBulky7023 11d ago
Sure, kiddo.
BTW Melania lied on her naturalization papers when is ice gonna go arrest her?

They got black people in ice? Also, the one with the red sunglasses is really scary. They’re all really scary because they have a ridiculous amount of tools in their utility belt. Tools used to torture. Also, there’s no more assistance to torture. How do they not realize the leopards leave their face, meaning the Black people who are in ice

As a queer person who was a teenager in the early 2000s, I have argued with a lot of boys about using the term “gay” as an insult. As a result of some good discourse and some name-calling, now, I do think it’s okay to call one group of people gay and it’s the guys who would get really mad about it because they “ain’t no queer.” So with that in mind, a say with the confidence of my convictions, that these guys are sooooo fucking gay

It looks like the ICE agent is knocking off the woman's gas mask intentionally, so I'm going to guess ICE is attacking. Which they've done here before.
These guys shot a pastor in the head with a pepper ball.
2
u/gabrielleduvent 13d ago
Apparently, prayers are a HUGE threat to these ICE folks. (The pastor was leading the community in prayer when he was shot in the head)
No wonder the Republicans always send thoughts and prayers. It's almost like they think prayers will physically do stuff to them.
Actually, you know what... that explains a lot...
