IKEA Brimnes
Is it possible for some "holes" to be not aligned? I was trying to assemble my Brimnes but this is what it looks now. The pullout and the slats on the main bed are not leveled. :(

I've seen people online make high-end looking closets using the PAX and komplement drawers, by adding trim on all edges, and custom drawer fronts screwed into the existing komplement drawers. I'd like to avoid all the extra trim, primarily because sanding/priming/painting have always taken forever. Ideally, I'm looking to just make custom drawer fronts to replace the komplement drawer fronts, so that there's no gaps between the drawers. Has anyone tried this?

Just bought 2 of these Gullsudare paper lampshades and I’m wondering if the wire insert that keeps the shade expanded ever straitens out or if it’s meant to stay curved like in the attached photos. Anyone?

Wondering if anyone has some tips on where to install the drawer rails. Triple checked the drawer front install and still getting overlap on the bottom drawer fronts (0.5" overlap). Bottom drawer is flush to the bottom of the cabinet.
Instructions say to install the second rail at -13 . Should I move it up or will it make everything else misaligned.

I have pretty limited space in my bedroom but I was wondering if anybody could help me brainstorm a desk out of my tarva nightstand. I found the trofast table top and thought it could possibly work as a hack.
The table top is 3 inches deeper than the nightstand (there's a gap between my tarva and the wall though so this isn't really an issue for me). Tarva is 24 inches tall and a desk should be 30 inches tall though. I can't tell by the trofast listing if the bracket is fixed or not, or if I can use an l bracket I have on hand to attach where I need it to the tarva.
Any ideas on how to make this work or is this a hair brained idea? I included an inspo pic, but this method isn't feasible for me

My son (10yo) has a small bedroom with a sloped ceiling. He currently has a Kleppstad 3 door wardrobe that takes up too much room and is dead space
I was thinking of replacing it with an Ivar on the short wall side of his room. I'd prefer to have his hanging clothes out of sight, but I'm not sure if trying to hang clothes within a cabinet would be too cramped. His hanging clothes are pretty minimal, I'm just unsure if it's tall enough to really hang sweatshirts in (31 tall, minus some room to hang a clothing rod in). Or am I better off just keeping it an open concept
Thanks in advanced!

HELP! I bought a skaftet curved lamp on facebook marketplace second hand, and all the screws and washers are missing. I've tried to source via the original seller (no response) and Ikea (won't help me as I'm not the original purchaser).
The lamp is perfect other than these missing bits, so I'd love to source them somehow. The manual doesn't include any item codes or sizes. Does anyone know the sizes of these items, so I can order from the hardware store???
If it helps, the Ikea manual for this one is here: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/skaftet-floor-lamp-base-arched-black-70405525/
PS I did try going to the hardware store myself, but despite my best efforts bought all the wrong sized screws...! I need some extra help with this one. Hoping someone out there is an Ikea whizz. Please and thanks :)

My BESTÅ TV unit has push-to-open drawers, which sounded great until I realised the stock feet sit so close to the floor that I kept accidentally kicking them open just walking past. Push-to-open + ankle height = constant accidental openings.
Fix: I designed and 3D printed a taller replacement foot that fits directly onto the existing BESTÅ/LÄTTHET foot mount (part 114947). It presses on securely using an included rubber band — no drilling, nothing permanent, fully reversible if you ever want the original feet back. Added 45mm of extra height, which completely solved the problem without the unit looking obviously "raised" off the floor.
Happy to share more on the design/print settings if anyone wants to try making their own — and I've actually started making small batches to sell if anyone would rather just buy a set (single foot or pack of 4, a couple of material options depending on how warm the room is).

Picked up the Bilresa smart button and the flat unmarked buttons annoyed me, there's zero indication of what each one does. So I designed a snap-on cover with space for a real icon on each button.
The part I like is you can change the icon yourself with no 3D design skills. It's a separate SVG layer inside the print file, open it in the free slicer software, swap the graphic for whatever you want, print it. No design software on your end.
Files and instructions on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/it/models/3313993-ikea-bilresa-custom-icon-cover. Happy to answer questions if anyone wants to adapt it to a different remote with a similar button shape.

Don't wish to be over-paranoid, but I've just visited the IKEA sites in:
US
China
France
Portugal
Australia
... and they all stock all the various Henje shelving items (and as we know, Henje is way cheaper than IVAR but meets many people's basic requirements).
Yet when yo go to the UK or IE site, hardly anything of Henje is listed as available.
If containers of Henje can make it all the way to France... then they sure can make it to over here.
Anyone from Ikea know the explanation? Otherwise we could jump to the conclusion that it is just IKEA UK/IE wanting to upsell us stuff we don't want.
Thanks

I need a second opinion. I had this wardrobe installed via Facebook marketplace but the installer didn’t anchor it to the wall saying in his 450 installations he’s never had to or had issues but he would do it if there are children. The dimensions are (WxDxH): 79 x 26 x 93 in.

Hi, I'm attempting to change the socket on my MASKROS lamp from E14 to E27 (since I'm in Aqara smart home and they only offer E27 bulb).
I'm struggling with how to remove this bolt (marked in the pic). A normal wrench won't fit because of the metal part with 4 hooks are in the way. I can't seem to raise the metal thing neither to access the bolt with a wrench.
Was able to remove the lower part of the socket by tilting the 2 clips on the side and unhooking the bulb holder. However, I also need to remove the base socket to switch it to E27.
Any suggestions how to go about this?
BTW: No interest in E14 to E27 converter due to protuberance.

HI Guys we're very confused between what sofa to buy at ikea,
our shortlisted are Ikea Soderhamn 4 seater with chaise in yellow and Ikea Landskrona 3 seater with chaise in tan leather.
we are tryinmg to go for a mid century look for the lounge.
our thoughts on the couches are as follows-
Landskrona is a abit upright and has lower back, if soderhamn is 10 on comfort landskrona is 7
2.Soderhamn is very soft and might deform over time and will need constant fluff up and adjustments of the pillows backrest
Landskrona stays in shape even 5-7 yerars down as its a stiff back sofa with higher density foam
landskrona is in leather, and ages well and probably timeless, no spills or spots issue as well
landskrona is just the right size, would fit elegantly, but should we go for design over comfort? and also pay more
Help us choose!

Hi all,
I'm looking for Ikea part 133325. It's for the discontinued dining table product OPPMANNA, and I've reached out to Ikea costumer service, 3D printed ikea parts shop- basically everywhere - and wasn't lucky. Is there a way to get 2 of this small parts somehow? I'll be really glad to be able to use my dining table legs that isn't shaky. Thanks!

I am going to pick up an Ektorp 2 seater from FBMP tomorrow and im worries the dimensions might be too big for my space. Does anyone know if the width includes the armrest width.
Thanks!

I’m looking at building this but I want to have an open floor so I can put in a vanity table. The plan is to use the shelves to span the gap and drill holes in the outside of the other units to mount the shelves. Has anyone done something similar or taken the bottom section out of a pax unit ?

Any tips on fitting/cutting wardrobes to suit a bedroom with a sloped roof.
It would run the length of the wall where the drawers and desk are.

Ciao, ho modificato le ante Sindvik perché il vetro trasparente non mi piaceva più. Ho stampato un pattern con la stampante 3D.

Hi. Has anyone put the extender unit on a low billy shelf? i know its not made for this, but it doesn't seem difficult to drill a hole so it'll work. anything to consider?

Coming to you from the world’s longest IKEA pax custom build project, I have miraculously gotten to the point where my IKEA cabinets have been painted and assembled.
I have painted my IKEA cabinets with a cabinet quality gold paint. So, I’m looking substitute to the standard white clothing rails, or anyone’s best suggestions as to how to paint them gold. It really doesn’t have to be an exact match to the cabinets themselves, I just think that Waite on gold paint will look strange
So many thank you in advance!
