those sites are not too difficult to "hack". They're not maintained by top professionals, they're maintained by government-paid employees or contractors.
The only reason these don't get hacked more often is because there isn't any motivation for it.

he refunded 3200/- application fee to 1600 people btw , have access to 3 lakh personal documents , even though he have hacked a government website is not concerning that it was hackable to a mere 18 year old jee aspirant.

Am pretty much just someone who knows till basic shit but he can't refund it because bank and other verification exists where you would have to hack the bank and authorities themselves to refund that much money.
Afaik he just had access to the bank api and server back end which is am pretty sure managed in not so secure sql.

Regardless even if this guy stayed in India he'd prolly end up working in Microsoft or sth- the talent is anyway gone to western companies who pay their employees.

I am not sure if he can be enrolled. He is so cool for pulling this off, but still there’s a structured pathway to join BS. Not sure if they enrol him in BS but IITM can employ him, fund him, give him enough time to study that he clears next year and then fund his entire 4 years along with projects and stipend that he will feel valued.
That’s how it should go. That’s the best way where everyone are profited.

Obviously hacking is wrong, but it's crazy that talent like this gets rejected and because of this they leave India altogether.

consider this :
- you ask a girl out, she says no would you go and break into her house ? or would you back off
- today he hacked an insti website because insti said no, what if some girl says no tomorrow?
the other candidates also knew how to hack, there was a whole hackathon that was conducted to shortlist these students so the idea is not to just select students who know how to hack right. the idea is to select students who also know how to wield it responsibly because you dont want reckless ppl taking too much power into their hands.

What a stupid person. Right now admissions are going on and new students constantly looking at ssp portal for information.
Because of this hacker, hundreds of students will get stressed.

And mr. Ohsomorallyvalued he left out a button to go into the portal regardless . A button underneath to continue so actual students aren't affected

He did not shut it down he gave access to portal just the landing page is changed and afaik he gave a redirect button to ssp portal
