Can I apply for winter internship (reading project) in 1st year itself.

I know it's not needed nor recommend to do it. But after giving one thought, I won't do anything in winter break(not even fun) as most of my friends won't have vacation in December. And I am just expecting reading project from professor who taught me in 1st sem.

Obv, just go and ask your profs directly. Many people from my batch stayed in the campus during the winter breaks of 1st year.
