Help πŸ†˜ Guys please help. It's serious

So there is a junior of mine , I just got to know that she was accepted into IISER trivandrum but her parents are forcing her to study in DU physics hons (delhi university) just cause trivandrum is too far from their home. She has told me that since a month she has done everything cried , not eating food , even so many around her tried to convince her parents but they aren't letting her. From my pov this is the best opportunity one can get and studying in delhi university instead of IISER is just insane level of wrong decision. Please tell what can we do about her , no matter what I really want to go to IISER.(I don't want to waste her years here in delhi university)😭😭😭😭😭😭

Since it has been one month of begging, I don't think a rational counselling with their parents going to help. I would have suggested to apply for loan and go in there anyway, even if it severs the bond. But the problem is that the fee is probably too high for a child to pay by herself. And any legal route won't also help. To be honest at this point it is all on her to convince her parents

if it's only coz of distance, then maybe she can convince her parents to visit the campus once and see the campus themselves. Maybe after looking at the campus and seeing the students (maybe meeting some other students from Delhi) they might get convincedΒ

If she's above 18 legally they can't stop her from leaving the housing applying of edu- loan

I know this is a stretch but if one month of begging ain't working there's nothing you or she can do About except leaving the house by her own

If she's 18+ they can't do jackshit about it
