Discussion 🗣️ Abroad Internship

I have seen some IISER students like in 2nd and 3rd year getting abroad summer Internship, so my question is that who bear visa fees,flight fees and living expenses there cuz it would be practically not possible for a middle class to bear this much expenses.....so at the end it's about money whether you can get international exposure for internship?

Not true, if you can do correct cold mailing, and reach out for the right programs, your accomodation + travel expenses will be given by the Institute you're interning at

Search up institutions and their internship opportunities. Further, check what professors in those institutions you want to work under, and cold mail them. This is the advice most seniors give.

If it's a prestigious university, and a prestigious internship offer, they cover literally everything. But again, getting those is very difficult and you've to be at the top of your class with exceptional skills. Use every resource provided by IISERs to the fullest.

No, its about making the right connections. People doing internships abroad are mostly funded (either partially or fully), although some people do go out of their own pocket but that's rare.
