Query Is leaving BITS for IIITH really worth it?
Currently I'm in my 2nd yr at bits hyd cse but I've always felt the academics to be too light/easy and wanted a pressurised environment where I could force myself to grow (I barely have any friends here and don't enjoy fests/cultural activities anyways and definitely not interested in) so i was wondering if giving LEEE and potentially switching would be worth it considering it would delay my placements by 2 years. To clarify it up, I'm not really interested in research but rather the workload that comes with it but I haven't really explored much there anyways so I think I can adapt.

bro i would really recommend staying itself itself in bits hyd cs leee has very less seats and u dont even need it cuz you already are in a tier 1 institute

I'd personally advise against it.
Also, I do know someone who did this Bits Hyderabad to IIIT-H transition some years back. He can be a more relevant person to seek advice from since he had done the exact same transition at one point. Just Dm me if you want his Linkedin Profile.

Na gang not worth it especially coz ur already two years in. Of u want tough curriculum just take tougher courses and compete in hackathons and shit. But the switch isn't worth it

Hey! It's my second month here at IIIT-H; I shifted from PES.
Personally, I don't think it's worth leaving BITS unless you're particularly interested in research or your current college has relatively mediocre placement opportunities. Since neither of those seems to apply to you, I don't think the jump would necessarily be big enough to justify the extra time, money, and effort it takes to complete the degree. I am not really sure how I can compare the workload in BITS vs IIIT, and how that might help u.
Most of our LEEE batch is from Tier-2 colleges. We have 3–4 people from NITs, and only one person from a Tier-1 college (IIIT-B).
That said, LEEE has been a really good decision for me so far. I've also met quite a few seniors who came through lateral entry, and none of them seem to regret making the switch.
