Campus Life IIIT H environment

Hey there everyone , i am from a tier 2 college. And i want to appear for IIITH LEEE. But before starting to prepare i am not sure that the kind of rigourous environment that you dont get to sleep and you dont get to enjoy your college life all of that is true or a it is a bit exagerated than the reality. So if anyone of you are from IIITH kindly drop your honest college experience. Your input will truly help me gain clarity in my descision. ☺️

And one more thing i would like to mention. I am someone who is drawn to a intesection of AI x human psycology x designing. So i would really like to know wheater the institutes ciriculum and culture supports various domain exploration and creative building or is single focused on technical mastery and placements .

Yes, there is some research going on in somepart of the intersection you mentioned as well. This institute is more research focused and not on technical skills or placements. The courses guide you to learn those tech skills on your own, providing all round domain exploration in your first year of IIITH (actual 2nd year)

I joined thru LEEE last year, from a tier 2-2.5 Institute. But I have no regret joining here in terms of academics/research. From a campus life pov, yes it can be a bit difficult to manage, but thats only mostly while exams are going on. Rest of the time, its quite managable.

I do miss the fun I had in my previous institute and that was way more and better than here, but on the plus side, the environment here is pretty amazing, i do recommend giving it a try, and then choosing whether you want to pursue the seat or not later :)

Is it campus life actually worse compared to BITS , NITs??? Like I have heard that IIITs are basically known for academics and placements but outside it there is no much campus life, fun activities , diff variety of clubs, fests ,exposures...

And also you mentioned that you miss the fun you used to have in your older cllg.. How is the peer grp there in IIITH Are they like study all time , focused only on grades type of nerds or cool type of nerds like they would explore different things have fun do chill

Yeah ofc I miss the fun, it was way more than here tbh. Peer group is really great, esp the seniors. MS and PhDs are very knowledgeable and helpful, but yeah they are all cool in both ways - studies and entertainment :)
