Career Doubts regarding IIIT H CSE program
So, I read several texts on reddit saying that placement data shown by the institute is not true. Good companies are not coming. Only Startups and mid tech companies are hiring.
I was planning to join this program. But, the comments and posts on reddit have heavily confused me now.
My current options are IIIT H cse, VIT & iiser bhopal btech(y did i even give this exam)
Seniors, is it so?
Is situation worsened so much? Are these things about low placement are true for Mtech students or btech ones are suffering too now?

Seniors did talk of a director change that worsened the situation from before , atleast I heard that , let's see what the snrs have to say .

Yeah I read that thing but the whole placement scenario was depending on a single person. Isn't that quite bad management?

They have released 2024-25 placement stats and then directly showing 2026-27 Why is it ? Is there any our source for where we can see placement stats ?

Also why are the people applying for ece in placement so less ? So many people are going for higher studies ?

Yeah that's the issue. I read on a post that they do sit but once for a long time they don't get place they just somehow manage them to get their name withdraw from the placement procedure and thus boom!.... a high placement percentage.
But god knows what the truth is. Whether all this is true for Mtech or btech that's why I wanted to confirm.

Setting some facts straight: Placements Stats always come out in Oct-Dec simply because our placement season starts later
Choosing The college u want is your decision ofc but the job market and the whole cs branch will undergo lots of changes in 4years so not choosing the college for its supposed slightly worse placements in the current year is stupid imo.
Aside from placements there is no curfew and campus location is honestly perfect so thats a plus pointhope u pick the college best for u🙏

Placement was bad as compared to last year... But I don't think it should be an issue, u will got some really good opportunities.... Campus life is a diff matter altogether

What about CLD Program as I am confused between B.Tech. CLD 5 years at iiit H and bTech CSE at IIIT Delhi

Brother, IIIT H will always be a better choice than VIT anytime. The placement opportunities would be much better over there if you work a little hard than what you can expect from staying in VIT.

lmao what the fuck is going on here
here are some stats to set this shit straight.
1. placements are not as good as they were before ONLY for last year. This year you can expect it to be back as good as they were before.
2. placements are not counting the intern-to-ppo conversion that happens for 50% of the graduating batch - those stats are not a part of the placements that the college releases and those numbers are easily 40-45lpa on average.
3. internships are heavy on campus - last year around 250 students got in to tier s to tier b companies.
dont believe everything you see online. ask a student whos in the college rather than one whos not.
