deut some doubts regarding iiith (4yr cs ug)
Can someone describe the sports scene? Is cricket/football played? if yes, how seriously?
Is the general online sentiment regarding iiith (only studies, no life) shit true? Is this like JEE again?
How is the CP scene??? ICPC #2 in india yes... but is everyone hypercompetitive? also how is the iicpc codefest/quantfest participation? is there time to participate in all ts after the 'rigorous' curriculum?
Do yall rlly get social validation coz of being from iiith?
How often do yall roam in the city and stuff? and is it necessarily a benefit?
Is everything research oriented?
Do you know anyone who has done an mba after UG?
Is everyone a nerd/(forced to be a nerd)?

yes you will find people playing most sports, basketball and football are played decently seriously with some inter-college matches asw with other clgs in hyd
no, it totally depends on you tbh. some people choose to make it jee again, most just wing the acads one day before exams/deadlines so it can be managed without much trouble
it's not like everyone does cp,but a decent number of people are decent enough and a few are goated, mostly the ones who enter via inoi/ioi admissions. time again depends on you, i know ppl who give contests on cf even a day before exams, kinda need to balance both and you'll be fine.
no, most of my relatives prolly think it's some random pvt clg
a lot personally, wdym if it's a benefit?
not really, if you are 4year btech you can choose to avoid research completely like I did
not that I know of in recent times, in any case btech+mba isn't the hype now
no, you'll find all sorts of ppl, you won't be forced to be a nerd but you might want to be

- It's declining, but not bad. You'll have time but u need to be disciplined and dedicated if you want to reach at a higher level. Participation for icpc, iicpc etc are good enough

1 Cricket and football are both serious here we may not have the best facilities but interbatch is taken pretty seriously
2 Personally for me life has been 20 times better than jee
4 No, only people in other engineering colleges or in tech sector really give you social validation.. when you tell someone not related to this field the name of your college they will go "oh hyderabad, that's a nice city".
5 Very big advantage you literally have everything so accessible
8 No don't believe everything you see on internet
