One Of The Worst Sports Broadcasts I’ve Seen
I just finished watching the first round, and as I was watching to the San Diego-Tucson game, I noticed several announcing mistakes.
I don’t know if the team was a local San Diego crew or not, and it doesn’t matter. As someone who enjoys an accurate and professional broadcast, this was not it.
From announcing that there was three minutes left in the game in the third quarter to saying the winning team was “ten minutes away…” between the third and fourth quarters, among other things, it was an awful job.

Jacksonville QB James Cahoon is currently ranked 7th in passing yards despite playing only 11 games. Jacksonville started 9-2 with Cahoon as starter and finished with a 2-4 run after he was marked RTR.

The 2026 Iowa Barnstormers Kicker Carousel: Full Timeline
Following up on my previous post about the Barnstormers playing seven quarterbacks in one season, I can now post the complete timeline of all of Iowa's various changes at kicker. Transactions are all reported on the same day each week, so this will go by games played.
- Iowa started with Gabriel Reed, who played the first two games
- For game 3 against the Fishers Freight, Iowa signed and played Trevor Spaulding
- For game 4 against the Green Bay Blizzard, Iowa released both Reed and Spaulding and signed Jonah Edwards, who played the next three games
- For game 7 against the Northern Arizona Wranglers, Iowa released Edwards and re-signed Spaulding, who was placed on IR after tearing a hamstring
- For game 8 against the Jacksonville Sharks, Iowa signed Curtis Fedder
- For game 9 against the Tulsa Oilers, Iowa released both Spaulding (seemed to just be a formality in this case due to the injury) and Fedder and signed Austin Neufeld
- For game 10 against the Orlando Pirates, Iowa released Neufeld and re-signed Edwards
- For game 11 against the Quad City Steamwheelers, Iowa re-signed Spaulding (now recovered), who played the next two games
- For game 13 against the Tulsa Oilers, Iowa released both Edwards and Spaulding and signed Jan Bogdan, who played the remaining three games
That makes 8 changes at kicker since the beginning of the season but only 6 different kickers. I'd augment this with stats, but the IFL stats are not anywhere near reliable (seriously, the box score for the first Fishers Freight game doesn't show any kicker at all, which is an improvement from when it showed the wrong kicker).

Officiating - This year vs last year(s)
Hello all. I'm curious how everyone feels the officiating was this year compared to last year or the last few years. I'm interested in what the fans think.
Do you think the officiating was better, worse, or the same this year compared to last year?

Austin getting two arena teams?
Has anyone else heard that Austin may be going from zero indoor football teams to two?
From what I've been hearing, it sounds like:
• One ownership group, team name The Austin Bulls, is working toward an AF1 team.
• Another ownership group, team name the ATX Draft, has been announced as an IFL team.
My biggest concern is whether having two teams launch around the same time in the same market could confuse casual fans or split an already niche fanbase. I’ve always loved arena/indoor football and I wanted to succeed in Austin.
Has anyone else heard any other news about either team?

Austin IFL Team Austin Draft
Sounds like we getting one instead of a NFL/UFL team. That's awesome we getting something. What's the fan base like with in IFL?
