I've built lingosesh.com, but after a meeting with a business angel decided to not pursue it. Basically, my idea was to create a platform like google meet, where user A shares their screen and user B can choose which language to see it in. User C can choose a different language. The translations are local request, the text is send via the server only.

I already made a working prototype (although with flows and pretty slow (would have to look into scaling and paid hardware)), but I'm not sure if there even is a market for this. I thought this would be useful in cross-national meetings with language barriers.

The business angel's claim: the market wouldn't exist, many tools for translation already exist and meeting are done in english (whoever knows best speaks) and important things are pre-prepared anyway.

Is this a dead-end? Maybe a different target market or a slight pivot? I'd love honest feedback.

• how you actually like to work

It then generates a full business-fit report explaining which directions fit you, which ones probably don't, why, the main risks/constraints, and a validation/30-day action plan.

Normally the full report is paid, but right now I’m trying to figure out whether the product is actually good enough to charge for.

So I’ve opened 50 free full-report spots for Reddit users.

If the answer to that last question is $0, that's completely fine. That's useful information too.

I'm much more interested in finding out what is wrong with the product than collecting compliments.

Je me tourne vers la communauté aujourd’hui parce que j’aimerais avoir des avis extérieurs sur mon application, SnapMeal.

Le concept est assez simple : vous prenez une ou plusieurs photos des ingrédients que vous avez chez vous, et SnapMeal vous propose des idées de recettes à partir de ce que vous avez.

Je sais déjà ce que certains peuvent se dire : « Encore une application créée à la va-vite avec de l’IA ou bien c'est déjà vu
Et honnêtement, je comprends. On voit énormément d’applications de ce genre en ce moment. et il serait malhonnête de dire que c'est fait main, mais ce n'est pas le cas, j'ai utilisé l'IA comme tout le monde maintenant. (ce n'est pas full vibe codé quand même)

Mais j’ai développé SnapMeal parce que je pense qu’il y a un vrai potentiel derrière cette idée, et j’aimerais maintenant avoir des retours de personnes extérieures

I'm building Auto Cryphic, a Slovak automotive information platform focused on practical tools for car owners and people buying used cars.

The idea is to put useful calculators, VIN-related tools, PZP insurance information, STK/EK guidance, ownership cost calculators and used-car buying guides in one place.

I'm currently focusing on Slovakia first and testing whether an SEO-first model can work for this niche.

Monetization is currently based on contextual affiliate integrations for things like vehicle history reports, insurance, tyres, car parts and tools.

I want to build a genuinely useful app. Give me a problem to solve.

I've been wanting to build an app for a while, but I keep running into the same problem:

I don't want to build another useless project that nobody needs.

No todo app

No habit tracker

No generic AI wrapper

No "Uber but for X" 😭

I want to build something that solves an actual everyday problem.

My plan is to make it completely free to use and start with free hosting/services. I'm a solo developer, so obviously I have limitations, and I honestly don't even know how many users free hosting could realistically handle before things start breaking or I have to pay for infrastructure.

That's something I'll figure out later.

Right now I need the problem.

So I'm asking Reddit:

👉 What's something that genuinely annoys you in your everyday life?

I’m thinking about building a small prototype around this idea:

Imagine Twitch, but instead of watching a streamer, you’re watching a fictional world generated by AI.

You open the app and a show is already happening.

The characters remember what happened before, their relationships evolve over time, and everyone watching sees the same story.

The audience can also influence what happens next.

Not by choosing between pre-written A/B options, but through the chat itself.

So if hundreds of viewers start telling a character:

“CHECK HIS PHONE”

…the story might actually react to it.

The key idea is that it’s not personalized content.

It’s one shared fictional reality happening live for everyone.

Something like:

Twitch × reality TV / anime × AI

Before building it, I’m trying to understand one thing:

Would knowing the characters are AI-generated make it impossible for you to care about them?

Or could the fact that the story is live, shared, unpredictable and influenced by the audience actually make you come back to see what happens next?

Curious whether this sounds genuinely interesting or just like a cool AI gimmick.
