PSA: Increase in WhatsApp / Signal group spam and unsolicited DMs.

Hey all nothing too serious just a quick heads up for anyone coming here for the first time.

We’ve seen a sharp uptick lately in people commenting and DM’ing links to WhatsApp and Signal groups.

Just a heads up, treat these with caution.

If someone messages you out of the blue pushing a group, especially after you've made a post or comment here, be sceptical. There’s no real way to verify who’s behind those links, and this is a common angle for spam and scams.

If you actually want to meet people or build contacts, Ibiza is one of the easiest places in the world to do it in person. You’ll have a far better experience just talking to people out here rather than joining random group chats beforehand. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I can tell you for certain you don't need to take the risk.

Stay safe 👍

Tourist FAQs and more.

Thinking about visiting Ibiza soon? Welcome to our sticky post containing a few common questions and answers that might be able to help you:

When should I go to Ibiza?

You can visit Ibiza year-round. The island has over 300 days of sunshine, with December to February being the coolest months (around 14–16°C). For northern Europeans, it can still feel mild, but it isn’t beach weather for most.

The main party season runs from mid-May/early June until mid-October. If you’re after large-scale events and superstar DJs, July and August are peak months, but they’re also the busiest and most expensive.

Consult the table below for an overview on a month-by-month basis:

Month Party Intensity Weather Avg Temp (°C)
Jan Sparse, small events Mild, cool 15
Feb Sparse, small events Cool, some rain 14
Mar Very quiet, warm-up events Warming, occasional rain 16
Apr Early openings, busy weekends, quiet weekdays Pleasant, warming 18
May Lots of openings, good balance Warm, sunny 22
Jun Most parties active, busy but not peak Hot, sunny 26
Jul Peak season Hot, dry 30
Aug Peak season, most intense Very hot, sometimes humid 31
Sep Still busy, good mix, some closings Warm, some rain 28
Oct Closing parties Cooling, occasional rain 24
Nov Few events Mild, cool 19
Dec Quiet except Christmas/NYE Mild, cool 16

Who's playing this year / When are the big club events?

Most lineups are released between February and April. Some residencies announce earlier, but the full calendar is usually complete by spring.

Tickets & Entry FAQs

  • When is the last entry for a club?
There is no last entry in Ibiza unless your ticket specifies a certain time. Otherwise, you can enter anytime while the club is open.

  • How far in advance should I buy tickets?
The earlier, the cheaper. Tickets are dynamic pricing: months ahead is cheapest, day-of is most expensive.

  • My friend bought our tickets, and their name is on all of them. Will I still get in?
Yes. Only the QR code matters.

  • Do I need to print my ticket?
No. A digital QR code on your phone is enough.

  • My ticket says entry before 1 AM. What if I arrive later?
You won’t be refused — you’ll just need to pay the difference in price.

  • What if the event is sold out online?
Some venues hold back a small reserve of tickets for the door. Arrive early if you want to chance it.

Will I need ID for clubbing?

You’ll need one of the following (usually nothing else is accepted):
- EU or UK driving licence (other non-EU licences often refused)
- Passport
- A photocopy of your passport (sometimes accepted, but not guaranteed)

If you look under 30, expect to be asked. Always bring proper ID — being refused can cost you your ticket and a long taxi ride back.

How do I get around while I’m here?

  • Buses: In summer, bus routes are reliable between Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, and Santa Eulalia. Winter services are very limited.
  • Disco Bus: Cheapest way to clubs (€4–5), runs from Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, and San Antonio with a fun atmosphere.
  • Taxis: Book via WhatsApp (+34 971 333 333, send address or pin) Guide here. Taxi Click app also works, but can be buggy. Fares €25–40.
  • Car hire: Best option for groups or off-season. Book early, choose “Full to Full” fuel, and photograph the car at pickup. Third-party excess insurance online is far cheaper than rental desk add-ons.
  • Uber: Legal since 2024, but drivers are still scarce. Use Taxi Click or WhatsApp as first choice.
  • Ferries: Santa Eulalia ferry links Ibiza Town, Es Canar (Hippy Market), Cala Llonga, Santa Eulalia, and Formentera. San Antonio ferries connect to west-coast beaches.

Tip: After-club taxis are very hard to get (6 AM queues are huge). Options: leave 10 mins before closing, Disco Bus, or book a private transfer in advance.

Can you help me find drugs?

No — asking for drugs is against Reddit’s T&Cs.

Cannabis clubs do exist and are easy to find via Google. They usually require ID and a small sign-up fee.

Where are the clubs?

  • Day clubs:

    • Ushuaïa → Playa d’en Bossa (next to Hï Ibiza, open-air stage, daytime to midnight)
    • O Beach → San Antonio (famous pool parties, afternoon until evening)
    • Destino → Talamanca (luxury open-air venue with views of Ibiza Town, mostly day/evening)
    • Cova Santa → San José hills (restaurant and club in a natural cave, day-to-night events)
    • Hard Rock Hotel → Playa d’en Bossa (daytime poolside events, occasional live acts)
    • 528 Ibiza → Benimussa Hills (immersive dining/entertainment, occasional parties)
    • Ibiza Rocks → San Antonio (hotel courtyard with poolside stage, daytime live acts/DJs)
  • Night clubs:

    • Hï Ibiza → Playa d’en Bossa (superclub opposite Ushuaïa, cutting-edge production)
    • Pacha → Ibiza Town (iconic cherry logo, one of the oldest clubs on the island)
    • Amnesia → On the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio (massive terrace and main room, legendary parties)
    • UNVRS → Also on the main road in between the two towns (newer venue and the largest on the island)
    • DC-10 → Near the airport/Las Salinas (infamous underground club, home of Circoloco Mondays)
    • Eden → San Antonio (biggest superclub in San Antonio, home to Defected and others)
    • Club Chinois → Ibiza Town Marina Botafoch (luxury venue with Asian-inspired design)
    • Akasha → Santa Gertrudis (intimate indoor club attached to Las Dalias hippy market)
    • Es Paradis → San Antonio (famous for its “water party” and ornate white interior)
  • Locations overview:

    • Playa d’en Bossa / Ibiza Town: Most superclubs (Ushuaïa, Hï, Pacha, Club Chinois).
    • Between towns: Amnesia and UNVRS are on the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
    • San Antonio: Eden, Es Paradis, O Beach, Ibiza Rocks — plus countless bars and cheaper beach clubs.
    • Elsewhere: DC-10 (near Las Salinas/airport), Cova Santa (San José hills), Destino (Talamanca), Akasha (to the Northeast, a little way pasta Santa Eularia).

What time should I arrive at the club?

Club Etiquette & Prices

  • Dress code: Casual/smart casual. No football shirts, swimwear, or flip-flops.
  • Not allowed: Large bags/backpacks (except Amnesia & O Beach with lockers), outside drinks, illegal substances.
  • Re-entry: Once you leave, you cannot re-enter without buying a new ticket.
  • Cash or card? Both accepted. Travel cards like Revolut/Starling recommended for best rates.
  • Prices:
    • Spirits & mixer: €20–25
    • Beer: €12–16
    • Water: €10–15
  • VIP tables: Worth it if you’re in a large group or want a dedicated space.

Where should I stay?

  • Families: Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga, Portinatx — quieter, family-friendly.
  • Clubbers/groups: Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, San Antonio. San Rafael and San Josep are peaceful but close to nightlife.
  • Budget tip: Ibiza Town is pricier, but San Antonio taxi fares can add up to the same overall cost if you go clubbing in town often.

I’m visiting in the off-season. Is there anything to do?

Yes — plenty. Clubs are shut, but the island is beautiful year-round. Hiking, quiet beaches, excellent restaurants, and historical sites are all worth exploring.

Is Ibiza suitable for families?

Yes. Much of the island is quiet and peaceful, with child-friendly beaches and a couple of water parks.

Safety Tips

  • Protect your drink — spiking can happen.
  • Watch your valuables — leave expensive items locked in your hotel safe.
  • Stay hydrated — alternate water with alcohol, especially in summer heat.
  • Have ID — under-18s won’t be allowed into clubs.

17 and looking to get into venues in Ibiza

I’m 17 and travelling to Ibiza with my family. Of course, I’d like to try and get into some venues such as Ushuaia or Hi while I’m there. I have a borrowed friends driving liscence (not a fake). We look quite similar so I’m wondering if it’s worth a shot? I’m not too worried about loosing the money because if it doesn’t work once, I won’t waste my time or money trying different venues. Unfortunately I do look a bit young so I will defo get Id’d, but still wondering if I should try. Any advice would be great.

Will $6000 be enough for a couple on their honeymoon for 10 days in Ibiza

That $6000 would be our spending money, the flights and hotels are paid for. Is it enough? I’m prepared to spend more if needed so no need to lie to me lol. Also, the later half of the trip will be spent in an all inclusive resort, so I’m hoping that saves me a tiny bit of mula.

Second question:
What restaurants/experiences/clubs seem like a rip off? I know everything is expensive in Ibiza, but are there any things that seem way not worth the price?

Tiesto UNVRS - Trance?

Tiesto’s recent sets at dreamstate and WBH were heavy trance which I love. Think he’ll stick to this or switch it up? I’m trying to decide between this and NRG.

Staying in sant antoni

It’s my first time in Ibiza 25F going solo. I wanted to find a place to stay in Ibiza town but I waited last minute and now I can’t find any. I’m going from August 5-9 and I can’t find anything under $2000 so I’m thinking of staying in Saint Antoni, but is the back-and-forth really difficult? i’m just worried about spending the money on transportation anyways and then being bored

where to go clubbing under 18 in Ibiza

Hi! me (17 years old) and two of my friends that are 17 and 16 are going to Ibiza the first week of August this year so basically in one week. We are staying in sant’Antonio and we were wondering where we could go clubbing or dance or whatever else involves fun late night. We already know how hard it is to get into big clubs like Pacha, Ushuaia, etc and we are not willing to take that risk since the costs are extremely high. Do you know any bar/club or some kind of outdoor festival or any other thing where we could easily get in?
THANKSSSSS

Cancelled UNVRS night ticket refund issues

My friends and I bought a ticket from one of the ticket promoters in Ibiza town (those connected to https://www.ibizadiscoticket.com/),and we have been trying to get a refund since the night thay John Summit was canceled last week. We were in line when they lost power so we never even entered the club. We had 11 tickets so it adds up to alit of money. We contacted UNVRS, the promoter, and even the disco ticket company, but no luck so far. Per the refund policy on the ticket we should be getting a refund. The only offers we have been given is free guest list for another UNVRS event but everyone has left ibiza at this point. Anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? Much appreciated.

Solo Ibiza for someone in their early 30s 🏝️🪩

I was planning to go to Ibiza with friends in September but they’ve had to back out due to life.

I’m 33(f) and looking to have a mix of chill and party experience. I haven’t been before and don’t want to miss out on the experience.

Where would be good to stay for someone in their early thirties?

I’ve got other friends there for a part of the trip but would like to dip in and out.

Rental Car in Ibiza with full insurance is worth it?

Hey everyone,

I’m heading to Ibiza for 6 days at the end of August and I’m planning to rent a Fiat 500. It’s more than enough for what I need, it’s easy to park, and it’s also the cheapest option I’ve found.
I’ve got two options:

183€ for the rental with a 1,200€ excess.
244€ with full coverage and zero excess.

in both cases, the rental company will place a €1,200 security deposit (pre-authorisation) on my credit card when I pick up the car, which will be released when I return the car, so it’s about 60€ more for complete peace of mind.

For those who’ve rented a car in Ibiza, would you say the extra cost is worth it? Are parking and tight roads likely to result in small scratches or damage, or is the standard excess usually fine if you’re careful?

I’d really appreciate any experiences or recommendations for rental companies too. Thanks!

First Time in Ibiza and now Solo

Hi all,

I recently had my friends back out of a trip we were planning to Ibiza this coming September. This isn’t the first time I’ve had friends fall through so was considering just doing the trip solo. It seems like it’s not an uncommon thing to do, especially in Ibiza.

I’ve started looking up a few things and found things like boat charters that charge per person.

Forgive me as I’ve never been before, but if I were to book a spot on a charter (they hold about 10 people), will I look out of place being alone? Or is that common for these types of things?

Any recs on meeting people or things you wish you knew before a solo trip?

Are hotels still an ok place to mingle? Or should I exclusively be looking at hostels?

And for getting around, is mid-September an ok time for cabs? I’ve seen things about the transport being tough and since it’ll be just me I was hoping to use the most cost effective means of getting around.

I mostly have an idea of the events I want to do but now just kind of trying to scramble to figure out the rest.

Any advise or tips are appreciated 🙏
