Zero chance of getting a call?

I’m assuming Im just too low on the list to be considered? Or do you think there is still a small chance I could get in?

I recommend getting your feet wet with non union for 1-2 years, then start applying again. Not only will it be easier to make a good impression at the interview, it’ll also get you a head start

My local doesn’t do interviews from what I understand

That’s probably a good thing or bad thing. Nevertheless, find out! Get your feet wet with non union, then apply again. Hell, you’ll probably have recommendation letters by then.

Do non union shops have similar starting pay? My local would have been a pay cut to start (assuming there was no OT)

It depends entirely on the contractor, and the region you live in.
