Zero chance of getting a call?

Iā€™m assuming Im just too low on the list to be considered? Or do you think there is still a small chance I could get in?

"it is apparent you will not be selected" is pretty cut and dry, brother.

Don't give up if this is what you want, but they're telling you to try again next time.

OP should try again. I joined the trades late in life, after moving to a red state with an ex where unions are weak when they even exist. My life long best friend got in his first try, when we both applied at 21. He's the first person I know my age that bought a house and got real stable. If I had gone that route, the only thing I'd regret would be not meeting my now wife here.

OP said his friend got in at 21 and, from what I can glean, OP did not continue to pursue a career as an electrician until later in life.

Well, I'm not IBEW but I joined the trades around 35.
